@@250txc is a waste of space oxygen theft chad did alot for the sport soo much entertainment with James, Ricky, dungey, villopoto have some respect that the era of these legendary riders have come to the end you know chad might have been a lapper but atleast he still made it to the main and did his best everytime your just upset you will never match the greatness of someone like chad
I'm in my 50s and have been watching Motocross and Supercross for, well a long time. It will be weird not seeing Chad on the track. Thanks for the memories!!! A true iron man in racing and all sports!
I'm 52 born 1968 I remember Johnny O'Mara, David Bailey, Jeff Ward, Ron Lechien, Guy Cooper, Rick Johnson, those were the days. I rode with Johnny O'Mara a few times back in 1983- 84 when we both lived in Simi Valley California, Kyle Lewis too👍
This guys a fucking legend in the sport. He’s still out there getting holeshots and qualifying ahead of the young factory riders. People don’t really understand how incredible that is. Nothing but respect for this guy. Been watching his whole career and he’s battled some of the absolute best. He’s the last of a foregone era in racing you will never see again.
What a story! What a career! Whatever the Reed's do it's 💯 all the time. I get tears in my eyes watching this. Great years and times glad I got to witness CR22 career.
My dad and I grew to love Motocross and supercross, and you were a part of that reason Chad. You have such a great heart and more passion for the sport than anyone. Thank for letting us root you on for so many years.
Some of the greatest athletes that kids should be looking up to participate in sports that don't get much recognition. Great people with good values and doing the things they love should be something kids look up to while growing up.
You're a class act Chad. You made the glory days so much sweeter. My whole gang rooted for different riders. I was the RC guy, having ridden with him in Florida, My cousin was always backing you, and the battles you fought and your perseverance will never be forgotten. Mad respect for you and great respect for your Mrs for always being in your corner. Wish I could buy you a beer for what you've done for the sport. As an old guy, loved that you kept at it in a young man's game. I'll catch up to you someday, and I'll apologize now for the big hug that I'll give you. You made racing special.
Man is iconic!. Saw his Dreams, conquered his Fears, all with Honesty, Grit, and a determination we all wish we had. Twist it for Fun now Chad, enjoy the Family. God Bless.
I'll never forget watching you swap right before that kicker and you flew 30+ feet in the air without your bike. You hit hard and then got right back up and kicked that bike back over and went off. I have nothing but respect for you and I wish you the best life with your family.
Certainly one of the greatest riders I’ve watched every weekend since McGrath. Tons of memories, fantastic races, wrecks and champions of all time. Love Chad Reed! Awesome career!
Just wanted to add that Reedy was a lot faster than a lot of people remember. Looking back on the 2012 and 2014 seasons, he was riding at one of the highest levels of his career, battling consistently with guys like RV and Roczen at an age where most riders would’ve already been retired. Unfortunately, both those seasons were cut short with injuries. Also, some people don’t realize how competitive he was against RC when he first came up to the 250 two stroke class. He may have had a few seasons where JS7 had the edge in speed, but there were other times were Reed could keep up with (and beat) the best of them. Much respect to a guy I’ve been rooting for since I was a little kid.
I'll always remember Chad coming out in 2003 on that Yamaha with the spiky hair and curved barbell in his ear. For some reason 12 year old me thought that was super cool.
Remember seeing him ride in England at Foxhills in the mid 90s and thinking that boy is super quick but little did I know he would go on to be that good. What a rider 👌🏼
mann I looked up to this guy! used to watch him when I was a kid on my fathers computer, he basically introduced me to motocross. I wanna be like him! chad 22 is the best supercross rider for me!
Yep and has the record for 'lapped most in a career'. He was a good lapdog and got out of the champs way in most races and did not affect the racing results.
He was the 1st rider I saw when my dad took me to supercross in Qualcomm Stadium. After 17 years of watching him idk if I'd be able to go without knowing he was the last generation rider I grew up idling and enjoying him race win or no win, it's a very sad year for me now.
Never been a fan and always considered Reed as having the best seat in the house for the Ricky and James show. But you have to respect his commitment, dedication, and desire to keep racing. I love the fact that he mentioned Ricky and James. That makes me feel like he has grown as a person. Thanks for being in the mix and making all those races that much more exciting. AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE!
You will be missed Chad! The most awesome moments for me was when you were the only one giving RV a run for his money! RV even stated that he was running out of his limits and was going to let you pass right before your, OHHHH Crap moment! Always a competitor and anyone that loves racing has to appreciate that! Thank You! God bless you in your next chapter.
Has he "officially" announced that Sunday is his last Supercross? I'm hoping he at least races A1 next season so we can give him the standing ovation he deserves
Yes. He did his official farewell during AUS-X Supercross, months before A1 in 2020. Saying 2020 is his final year. Just go watch the video of him doing it there.
He said after he won the LCQ at round 16 this probably won’t be his last race Sunday because he doesn’t want that to be bit. And it doesn’t feel like a real farewell
He said after the LCQ win that it might not be his last, because he wanted his last race to be with the fans and it doesn’t feel the same without us there
He stated that he WILL race some events in 2021 because we all got screwed thanks to China!!! He wants to say goodbye and finish racing in front of actual people in the stands.

Was he wearing a Bribie island T-shirt as a child ? Respect !!!!! ........ I remember watching him ride as a 16 year old at a supercross in Queensland. He was always a cut above the rest.
