I always thought it was weird watching your heroes grow up and get older right in front of you. Like watching your favorite movie star at his prime and then when he gets a lot older, it just feels weird. I’ve watched a lot of people grow up to the point where you don’t even recognize them anymore. Getting old sucks it’s all I can say. To all you younger people out there, you must enjoy your youth cause it flies by quickly. If you haven’t made a good life for yourself at an earlier year. You can spend the rest of your days just wishing for a second chance to do it differently. Speaking to all from the heart and experience. Make your youth really count. And try not to let down the ones you love. I wouldn’t blabber on if I didn’t care about people.✌️🙏💯🤙🇺🇸🙌👊👍👌✊☝️
This is a bad take. Getting old is a gift that comes with wisdom. Guarantee Chad had just as much fun doing this with his family as he did racing a national. Getting older gives you perspective on what really matters in life. Don’t fuck these kids over by making them romanticize youth. Youth culture is already out of control. My sister turned 30 and wanted to end her life. That’s fucking ridiculous there’s so many good times to be had in all stages of life. I’m tired of seeing comments like this.
Man this is so freaking awesome to see and Thank you for sharing this video with us and it brings back so many memories of him and still A LEGEND #22 #ChadReed
Excellent content once again from Matt Burkeen!!! Was just watching the two stroke race in California - then Supercross and now this race...it just gets better and better. Love this channel!
Chads going to be own new Mike Brown. As in being retired but still kicking ass. Any rider that gets older and still wins, that’s pure raw talent. A person can’t replace riding for any other sport. Not once you get that feeling that motocross can give you. It’s irreplaceable unless you have a family.🤙🇺🇸💯🙏✌️🙌
Reed has been at Dade City racing cash races against all the up and coming 250 & 125 championship kids. He could go out and qualify and pull top 15 in an outdoor national race, right now in 450’s. Nobody really wants to bang bars with a 200# Chad Reed.
@@mattburkeen820 awesome interested to see how far he goes, apparently wanting to go pro and his dad one of the best to do it so big expectations id imagine
I agree it should be like boxing, but everyone that races in his class will always remember that one time they got to race Chad Reed. Everyone around them will know it too.
Lake sugar tree in axton virginia is where i started going to gary baily when i was on a 60cc backnin 1994. Back then was the sickest, most dangerous, unforgiving bad ass track in the AMA
Chad does just have AMA TITLES in the modern 4 stroke era today...he lead all current riders with his podiums total...his got more podiums even then mcgrath his hero....an the current guys Tomac just caught RC an are tied for podiums...an chads well ahead of rick an tomac....
Unlike supercross, MX nationals could easily implement more races like vets/ 40+ or even add a 250 2 stroke race similar to the old days when they had a 500cc open class
Who was that gangster in second in + 30. ? Haas? He's fast as shit. Thanks. Also, it looks like Reeds rear rebound is off the mark. Rear end almost throwing him over the bars on kicker faces.
For the dummies that don’t know the rules of Loretta’s, anyone who has a pro license cannot race. I think there’s a two year clause or something like that. So yes Reed or any ex pro can race if they qualify at the area and regional qualifiers. This qualifier was the easy Area qualifier that gets you to the Regional which takes top 6 to get to Loretta’s in each class.
Not trying to take anything away from ya boy, but that was 22's 4th moto of the day coming from the couch... Gotta know dude was running on fumes at that point.
Damn Matty u really get around the country. I can imagine just the cost of petroleum distillate is outrageous. Once the Lonely-Fans money starts coming in you can take your private Jet everywhere. Then have your film crew get all the footage and editing while you eat nachos in your air conditioned RV that your chauffeur has waiting for u in the pits.
I think dude who was with him there first motoof plus 30 A was faster rider the way he was catching him coming in to turns much faster just looked like he ran out of steam after 3 laps
With all due respect to the legend that is Chad Reed I gotta disagree, he wasn’t top 10 his last season and it would be harder for him now but that’s just my opinion!
You do realize when he was still racing at the end of his pro career he wasn’t even hardly able to qualify thru the LCQ, right? He wouldn’t even qualify for a pro sx now
@mattburkeen820 if he got in shape he could be in top 10 the only fast guys are top 3 or 4 the rest are bums wankers, blooks wow and I cheered your bum as on at Unadilla ur a bum as well
He literally got beat and had another guy right on him… he’s way past his prime and isn’t some top level pro anymore. Matty B is pro too but I bet you don’t care if he races but let it be an old Chad reed and you people cry like a little Biatch. It’s motocross and there’s nothing wrong with an old pro who can barely beat local pros (and even loses to them also) get to race ever again, right?
Yeah bc god forbid former pros be allowed to race again after their career is over, right? It’s old meaningless classes, stop crying. And as you just saw, he got beat at a local track so let’s not act like he is anywhere near the chad reed we all remember over 2 decades ago. It is legal so why are you bitching?
A retired pro racer like Reed is not sandbagging in a local race while racing in the open pro class. Where do you want him to race? What an idiotic comment!
Reed racing is awesome, to be in the same pits with your moto-scooter hero while he's also teaching his kids is what racing is all about for families. Lots of ex-pros have come to Loretta's and the fans/racers enjoy it.
