Chadwick Boseman Rest In Peace Thank You for showing me the the kinda of man I want to be. Thank you for showing the world that a superhero can look like me. We are suppose to grow up and past the concept of superhero dreams aside. I refuse .. I wear my heart on my sleeve and the ability to still believe in love, dignity , honor in world that has told me not to. I have at times fallen short of my own code, but with you're passing I know I can never give up . Thank You ... I must be my own hero, but the the movies you done reminds me the power of Art in all it's forms. Rest In Peace Brother. Wakanda 4 Ever BLM No Justice No Peace

Thank you for the explanation! I work in High School Security in the Chicago area, I'm white and Irish and grew up in a very white area. Before working this job, I never had much exposure to black culture. I've spent a lot of my adult life trying to learn about other cultures, but never had the chance to experience black culture. A few months after I started at this high school, a new black freshman girl approached me and told me she was scared and intimidated by the size of the school. She asked for help navigating the school. I helped her find her way, and gave her tips to navigate the school if she couldn't find me but If she saw me, she could always ask me for help for anything if she ever needed. Fast forward 6 months, she approached me in the halls in front of her friends and extended her hand. I shook her hand, and she laughed and said, "no, I'm gonna DAP you up." She proceeded to show me the new elaborate handshake we will perform when we see each other. I had no clue what "DAP" meant, so I had to look it up. I'm not sure if she knows the history of the DAP, but I'm extremely humbled that she would approach me in front of her friends and accept me as an equal by showing me the DAP, especially when so many of her friends dislike me. But it seems her word carries a ton of weight in that group, as so many of them have accepted me as an equal in their group. Thank you again for the explanation!!

When I was in S. Korea in 1978, some black people (and a very few whites) did the dap. They don't talk about the part of the dap that was illegal: "Stomp! The white rabbit." Anyone remember that? This video is good, because it explains the symbolism of the dap.
