People mistake him and his brother for being slow when in reality they are usually just stoned and not wanting to do interviews lol. Here Nick is talking to someone I assume he respects, about stuff he is interested in, and I imagine not having a camera in his face helps as well. As someone who used to smoke weed, I cannot imagine having to do televised interviews high.... I'd have a panic attack lol
probably because when he's just on the phone he can smoke a blunt before and during the interview so he's chill. i noticed both of the diaz brothers sound way more coherent when they are high, i'm not joking, check it out
Can't believe Boss man hadn't heard about the GSP deal, I've seen interviews where they (Diaz bros) also said they poisoned Nicks iv during rehydration and some other stuff that I can't readily recall along with the missing weight thing. Nick "I ain't cryin when there's people starving.in.some.countries" Diaz. Absolute Fkng LEGEND.
I love this dude. His train of thoughts are hard to follow because his thoughts come out without introducing them properly, but my little brother did the same thing so I know how to grasp onto what he's saying once I understand his topic. Aside from that, he's one of the last true fighters. He believes he can beat anyone, and in a fight to the death - I honestly believe any man in the world that can get to 175 pounds or less, he would win.
Yeah him and his Nate both. I don’t think they can be knocked out get gassed and submitting them would be really hard. Only reason people beat them is decisions.
Chopper 51 both Diaz brothers have been tko’d, Jeremy Jackson knocked nick out super early into his career and Nate was tko’d by Josh Thompson. regardless they both have granite chins. Nicks actually one of my favorite fighters and nate’s super cool as well.
Nick Diaz is BRILLIANT! I think has a genius level fight IQ, and a superior level intellectual IQ, too. I grew up with a guy in McAllen Texas, just like Nick. He was an incredible fighter and badass, he's now a Medical Doctor.
DON'T BE SCARED HOMIE he starts out talking about not communicating with Nate about his payday and 20 min later he’s gone through all his opinions and training in boxing and kickboxing and Chael’s like 😐
@@theraddlesnake0343 thank you. You said it PERFECTLY. Because when the guy can't form two sentences people get on him for that ... I love when he goes on and on. We don't get it too much.
..What was I saying? Chael lists all 3 or 4 things in which he was bouncing around on like he was reading a menu. I could have listened to you guys talk for hrs. Nicks a damn riot, just awesom!!
Chael interviewing Nick is not a good matchup. 😄 love them both but I can’t see them hanging out in real life. Nick needs to just be able to ramble because he doesn’t do small talk. If you ask him a question, you’re gonna get the *whole entire story* with all the tangents and a few extra details on the side. ❤️
still waiting for diaz bros to come on joe rogans podcast. all three high af on weed and just talking mma, training etc . how they all started gettin into mma etc. seems nick dont have the drive to do mma anymore. to become a champ at any division u need to be 100% into it. he could come back to do moneyfights tho,he is still a big draw. the silva fight was cool. all stand up but the size difference got silva the win cos of his bigger connections. nick clowning him and standing in his face was soo badass considering how silva have fucked up BIG dudes in 185,205 like trt vitor, chael, dan hendereson. and couldnt finish a 170er like nick ;) nick vs masvidal would be awesome!!! both old school street thugs ;)
if Nick never fights again I would love to see him start commentary as he is maturing thru his life am as well man he could start his own league and do great fighters would attract to him for sure too fight under his banner
Nicks point makes total sense and now in 2021 it’s easy to find videos on the subject. It was a title fight, so you have to make weight for the title, but only in GSP’s home town of Montreal they allow you to be over. 170.9 is allowed and GSP was over. Maybe not 3 pounds like Nick said but he was over and if you know Chael’s story or Whittaker vs Romero making weight matters.
@@truthministries77 The strikers really cant handle high level wrestling. When people are good at riding you, it makes it so tough. I think boxing, Nick would win though.
Chael says you really don’t need to sell too many bikes at 50k as a company to make a good profit Nick……yea I really didn’t understand what you said there but yeah
He actually out talked Chael, that is very impressive! He is so stubborn tho and wont let others speak - he will just keep talking until he bulldozes over them and they shut up. Not a great habit...
18:04 fact I saw a vid where one of the comminishers told Nick about the weight allowance but they had told george a day before they told Nick and his team minutes before weighing in and why is it so farfetched to believe gsp was on roids? Nick said they didn't really drug test them and if they had he would've failed himself for pot , why would he incriminate himself with a lie, also they where in canada where gsp is from, they could've done him a favor with of without his knowledge and on her gsp said he knew guys know how to beat usadas tests probably because he knew how to do it himself
I think if they're just going to do money fights then they need to do away with the belts because they really don't mean anything if it's not a competition to see who is the best it is really just entertainment at that point
Nate and Conor fought and that mcgregor guy got strangled in two rounds? I thought he was the cats ass? He lost to a guy ranked at the bottom of the division? Then was granted a second fight that nobody else would have gotten and barely squeaked by victory by running away from his opponent to conserve energy while the other guy pursued him the entire fight pointing at him and laughing giving him the middle finger!how is Nate Diaz not the biggest superstar in MMA I guess people just don't like him as much is that guy that has the funny accent and says Fook instead of fuck
i wrote out a long response but i dont need that many words to explain it, Mcgoober wins significantly more oftenly than Nate and in a much more spectacular fashion, hes also the more entertaining talker to a lot of people and has his country behind him.
Yeah he definitely didn't run the whole fight you need to watch it again he ran the fourth found but that's just one round not the whole fight dumbass plus he help make the company 4.1 billion dollars
Chael starting the conversation by insulting nick about his bike.chael should do his homework on these bikes they are custom made for the rider and are incredible.dont even think nick drives his car as much as his bikes.thats one of the reasons you never see nick breathing heavy in any fight.his feats of conditioning are legendary in the mma world.nick has to train like this because he is always fighting cheating steriod muscle head wrestlers.
Jack Rock Yeah, its pay. Say $20k to show and and another $20k to win. That is only disclosed pay. That don't count performance bonuses and the other bonuses the UFC gives almost every fighter on almost every card..
At that time Nick had just started to travel outside of Stockton for the first time probably ever and he wasn't allowed to fight so I am assuming that he thought Nate was more comfortable just being at home but at the same time Nick didn't know how to help him make more money... I think
Exactly Nate has his own family now with his wife and child so Nick no longer feels needed so gives space. Nick's whole life he was his brother's keeper, now without that his kinda fell off track with the fast life. I will never doubt a motivated Diaz though so hopefully this Masvidal happens with a motivated Diaz.
Nate’s finally having some big fights and lots of success and Nick is out of the game and he seems like he has lost his way. When someone asks him any question, he starts talking about his own career and problems. It makes sense in the end, but he just comes across as kind of lost. Totally love and respect Nick but he’s had a chip on his shoulder and those don’t age well. Nate seems like he’s trying to be happy and live a good life while Nate is nursing a lot of resentment. Maybe that’s just in my head but it makes sense to me. I hope it’s not as bad as it comes across, though.
Lol...I love his honestly with his... inability to understand Chael's comment on how specialized doesn't need to branch out to an MMA fighter when they make 50k a bike.
But people need to realize what I heard the other day is that Nate Diaz took a big chunk of money up front as a signing bonus and then agreed to the $20,000 show up to the fight and $20,000 to finish a fight. That's not to win the fight that's just to get into the octagon and fight. He probably got a million or two on his signing bonus vs 50 + 50 who else has a comment on this anybody have any more information
Im not sure...I thought he only got a 50k signing/winning bonus for winning the ufc contract on the ultimate fighter....it wasn’t much. He literally just bought a car and had 4k left.
I was told that there is no such thing as a 50K bike. The average cost of a Top End Bike is 10K. The ones they use for the Tour De France. Anyhow...that's what I heard and the guy seemed to know what he was talking about. I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to look that up.
I would say there are some kickboxers with amazing punches, adesanya,dk if Badr threw 10 kick in his career, alex pereira got them hands also,i would love to see diaz vs pereira
If you cant see that,, right at that point conor was the $ if he dont bring it in and no1 else brings it in then how in heel are they ever going to solve the pay dispute.... the best should fight the best but some times some people have to suffer at the start to succeed in the end
23:45 I remember seeing a pick of henderson holding his tooth pick between his fingers as he threw a punch at Nate and remember Nate saying his eye was really bugging him that fight, and bending did used to bring a tooth pick with him
I like Nick and Nate for their fighting hearts but when you get and listen to both of them they do nothing but make excuses for not just stuff over the last couple of months but over their whole careers I think they need to get off the ganja for a little bit maybe do a sober October like Joe Rogan and friends so they can actually look at themselves for a little bit wow like I said fans on both of them they're both or not very educated I think what we all like is that they get in the cage and brawl and that's the bottom line
The Diaz brothers get screwed. After paying his coaches and all other expenses he probably only cleared $10k. All while Dana is driving Bentleys and Lamborghinis.
andrew brown It’s what they get paid. 2 and 2 means 20,000 and 20,000. He actually said 20 and 20. But it means $20,000 for the fight, then $20k for the win.
Billy Physique saying that it may have been all they could pay. It's just when you compare it to boxing (which I shouldnt) and you see what he sold the company for. Pretty low for putting it on the line
I like Nick Diaz I think he is one of the most honest guys in the MMA game and he is very smart BUT I have to say he really needs to be coached on his verbal skills and learn how to answer questions correctly, in this interview he is all over the place he starts talking about a bike being stolen and ends up talking about steroids anyway, I am not shitting on the guy but I know for a fact if he spoke better and actually marketed himself i.e promoted his fights he would be bringing in the big dollars. It's a shame he doesn't get he has to play the game to get the pay. In short, u gotta Play for Pay.
But forsure if he talked more and more intelligently he would have blew up, look at nate, conor, chael, the shit talkin is a part of the promotions forsure but he was a boxer and u know them constant head punches over years take a toll homie
Agreed! His new mgmt agency should make him do media training or something. As corny as that is. I dont undertand why he dies what he does. I think he is really insecure and wants recognition for his hard work and dedication bc he feels snubbed and undervalued. He always talks how hard he had it and no one understands. Fighting every 3 months and sacrificing a life on the side etc etc. A lot of peoples childhood sticks with them into adulthood, you can tell he has poor self esteem . He has talked about that in interviews too. He also always stares at the ground in interviews too. Another sign of insecurity.
I don’t give a fuck if I see a scale or what they say. I choose to believe Nick.. Anderson was over weight! 👊🏽 Diaz Army!!! 💯 and I agree either Diaz is the one selling the PPV’s at these shows cause it’s their personalities people show up to see! Just saying
It's just weird that Chael Sonnen and Nick Diaz are acting like he's fighting for chump change at $40,000 a fight when he might have taken a million dollars upfront it all averages out and Nate took all the money up front just like the lottery winners and they're all broke later but I don't know why these two professional fighters are acting like he never got anything but the 20 and 20
I just thought about this if we get rid of both of the Diaz brothers would the UFC get along without them I think it's time I'm done unbelievable people get their respect but Nick just says a hundred people a day stop and talk to him and he's relevant will start promoting yourself quit smoking weed and whining about everything and accusing everybody about your losses you're probably on steroids I know you're definitely on something that's illegal in the UFC duh if you're doing something illegal why can't they do something illegal doesn't make it right but don't sit there and cry about something when you're basically doing the same thing
