Oops I must be on the wrong site, a rational comment was made. Fight could go either way, both have great, but very different styles. Quick KO for CM early or a drawn out mauling by KN
I think Khabib is slightly more nervous. The main reason is Conor is kind of like a dog chasing a car. He's not scared even if he should be. I'm not saying he's going to lose to Khabib, I'm just saying that Conor is so confident in his own abilities he's willing to do things like challenge one of the best boxers of all time to his own game.
Very true. Sure he probably felt a bit out of his element at that press conference verbally against McGregor but in reality neither feels fear at this point lol
I think Khabib did way better than expected since English is not his First, Second, Third or Fourth language.. Conor was way nervous and scared even in the stare down at the start and exit Khabib made Conor stand down.. It’s way obvious Khabib did a great job composing himself..
He speaks Russian and English, what are you talking about? Conor was scared during the stare down but he was the one who wanted to get closer? Again what are you talking about. Khabib made Conor stand down but Khabib was walking off stage with his back turned while Conor was abusing his manager talking about him ratting to the police, his links to terrorism and abandoning his son he owes 50k in child support for, Khabib didn't even turn his head after all that dirt.
Khabib isn't of lower intellect of Conor, Khabib is respectful and refuse to lower himself to Conor's stinking behaviour Khabib's character and morals are too high for Conor.
The guy is friends with terrorists wtf are u talking about ? He was a bad man and still is but he plays the good guy infront of the camera and shit But conor quiet the opposite when the camera is on he may sounds like the bad guy but when its off he is really a good man
Mayweather said that Connor fears no man. I disagree. KHABIB fears no man and I think Connor knows that Khabib is the toughest SOB there is. I think for the first time ever, Connor was NOT confident.
agree with you 100%. they're just pushing the ufc narrative bro, its a total farce. it was like a trump rally. conor was erratic, agitated, and ridiculous. he was manic. his swearing and antics were beyond innappropriate. It was telling that Dana made it strictly ufc-media only, no public allowed. and what about the whole whiskey thing? Leads me to think that this is just profile-raising for khabib. Conor has mental health issues, clearly. He wont be fighting. And khabib knows that, which is why he let the show go on. Khabib will fight Tony (who coincidentally is on the same card). Just imo obviously.
Khabib cant even talk rn. A baby with a beard. References thrown at him about country and religion and understood none of em. Some fake nationality there. However conor was, that's the only way press conference could go since khabib doesn't even talk. Why even get his to press.
Mussell Bestbrook did you watch the whole thing? Conor worked himself up, he got irritated, angry, emotional, the guy looked like a relapsed drug addict and you think he looked cool? All conor managed to do was get inside his own head. He is not the same animal from 2016.
Mussell Bestbrook muslim tinted glasses? Youre a clever boy. Get that conor poster down, hes a nervous wreck, the fact that you cant tell that Conor is becoming contrived shows how much you idolise him. I have mcgregor winning the fight, but all he did in the conference was agitate his own mind. Against Eddie and Nate, his rehearsed lines were witty and natural, with Khabib it was so forced. Please dont reply to me, youre annoying
The only thing Conor left out was to spit in his face. I was 50/50 before watching this. Not now, I honestly think Conor DESERVES to LOOSE. I have no respect for his image or the way he confronts his opponents or how the UFC has lowered itself. And this is the exact opposite of how you are supposed to carry yourself when you know martial arts. This is not for the younger generation. I mean what do you tell the youth Coner stands for. There are thousands of people who have turned their lives around who CAN be used as an example. So he’s left the life of living on welfare, to only become something that looks good on paper, or to put it another way. Had more opertunities than money and only chose money. There’s so much more he could do in his journey, this sums him up.
It would've been everyone's favorite press conference if there was an audience to feed off. Conor somehow managed to come in with the same energy he would come in if there were 100,000 people there; and that's why it looked and felt a little unhinged. People don't come straight out the gate and maintain that kind of intensity without the room fueling it. The guy was so ready to come back and unleash himself into the UFC again, unfortunately they didn't give him the correct platform. I know Dana says he's happy with the decision but the UFC missed some magic here...
Damn Conor made such a fool of himself, he just went total psycho? His attempts to get into Khabib's head were so desperate. Khabib: "My father teach me never give up and always be respectful" spoken like a true Champ.
Did he not humiliate homeless people by laughing at them for doing press ups for money. Say what you want about conor but he would never do that. If he ever did that I would permanently withdraw my support for him. So dont get it twisted
Aniketh Shejwadkar In Russia and post soviet countries, you must respond for your words, that clown Artem said in an interview too much shit about Khabib... next you know... a real men responds to his words
MikeM16 nah usually he comes across as arrogant but confident and genuine. This seemed forced and like he was too worried about playing Conor McGregor than just being Conor McGreogor.. Came across weak and like he knows there's a strong possibility he gets pummeled in a few weeks. Look at the Aldo build up that was genuine confidence and he scared Aldo even before the fight, this not so much
M R exactly, solid points with Diaz. People mistake him as “elite” because of the Conor fights but really he’s just really good and not a true contender. Everybody forgets he was even supposed to fight Conor and that he was fill in. Conor might have the best stand up in the game right now so he can definitely win this fight but that presser made me believe mentally he’s not as prepared as usual. Also chael somehow comes across even worse than McGregor here. Dude has somehow become an even bigger joke than he was
I honestly can't believe Chael is talking utter shit. Conor spent the entire conference talking like Colby, he stuttered non-stop, had the worst lines, and didn't even get a voice raise out of Khabib. Conor's whole talk game is a gimic, it's like a sitcom without canned laughter if his crowd isn't there, and that's what it was tonight. So fucking awkward. Please go watch the presser and don't listen to Chael's paid analysis
nikeairjordanfly ...Listen, just who has Khabib beaten ?..I ask you that respectfully, not to be smart or sarcastic, but I don’t believe he has ever fought anybody like McGregor. How versatile is Khabib & what will he do if he’s put down early in the fight. I’m not saying he won’t win, but if McGregor is fully fit & ready, he could expose Khabib as being totally overrated.
Well you have to be honest whoever watched Khabib fight can see many ways he can lose, like how after the second or 3rd round he went 0/9 on Takedowns vs Al who wasn’t training for a 5 round fight, Khabib’s standup showed so many holes in his game & the fact he isn’t a wrestler in terms of shooting for a double/Single, Khabib is Like Ronda he needs to get ahold of you & Clinch, and he is extremely good at that but if Khabib can’t close the distance than he can’t win & Khabib is very Good at what he does but he doesn’t have the Fight IQ that Conor has either, as long as Conor is training seriously & has trained his Cardio & isn’t doing Drugs or partying out of Control I think he is going to do what Holly Holms Did to Ronda Lets see if Khabib & if that happens let’s see if Khabib has the mental toughness Conor has bouncing back from a loss cuz Khabibs Record means everything to him like it did Ronda! Conor has more wins than Khabib vs fighters in the Top 5 at LW what about Khabib to win the title he fought a guy outside the Top 10 that would be like Conor getting a Belt for beating Dennis Siver, Conor has wins over Dustin, Eddie, & Nate, but don’t forget about Aldo, Holloway & Mendes , Khabib is the real Hype train here has only faced guys who are great matchups for him & hasn’t really ever fought elite competition guys who are Top 5 & are in the P4P list, Conor has fought guys who he matches up poorly against & got the W!
The UFC is starving for Conor McCregor to come back so bad that they have people spinning this press conference in his favor. Even the "highlights" of the presser are biased. Conor was flustered and completely off his game. He gets under people's skin by interrupting them and not letting people talk. Khabib actually turned the tables on him. Mental advantage, Khabib, even if Chael was paid to say it doesn't matter.
I was a bouncer and a private security agent for many years.. And in my experience the guys who scream, and threaten, and are animated, are usually not the bad men.. Its the dudes with the focused death stare from across the room, that are the dangerous ones ... One wants to show off, and the other wants to shovel dirt on your corpse ... Just my humble opinion .
Khabib told him “send me location, no cameras” But yet again Conor only comes out when cameras, security and police are around to protect him. I feel sorry for Conor, Khabib already has that fear in Conor. It says it all in Both stare downs at the entrance and exit.. Conor is way over his head..
If the one who cares the most loses, then clearly Conor lost. He was in a rage, yelling at the top of his lungs, red faced with veins bulging out of his neck.
"Sit there and be the doofus" No, more like don't waste your time arguing with a doofus. "Never argue with an idiot, because they will drag you to their level and beat you with experience."
Khabib had the best line though... "what happen to your language, why you speak English?" I know that had to boil his blood... basically calling the Irish what is historical accurate... englands bitches... that was a mic drop for a dude who speaks English at a 5th grade level.
lol true alsi when conor mentioned his father and khabib goes " dont know what your father taught u but my dad taught me to never give up " that was clever
@Dr. Loomis I dont see how you can say anything was planned or not. Considering Conor brought khabibs country and countrymen first... either way I cant wait for the fight. If either one of these guys pulls out I'm gonna be pretty disappointed...
I think the alcohol, money & fame got to Connor. The dude drops his company names and brands like a 12 year old whose dad opened a mock company for him to give him confidence. Connor is a child. But white men will always defend him because he is their hero...
NYvarsity Sports for real, i don’t know what people are expecting khabib to do the man doesn’t speak english, of course he’s pretty much just gonna sit there
Jonathan Olivieri precisely. The whole thing was cringeworthy. Conor did nothing good for the Irish stereotype either. That being said, if I were Khabib I would have asked for a glass and then threw it (whiskey) at Conor. Would have made Conor more of a raging imbecile than he already is.
Chris Mahoney I understand his act well. Throwing a glass full of his whiskey in his face may have lent some spice to his act. Mahoney is an Irish name isn’t it? Burp.
Khabib is a class act? He openly supports and helps organise child fights, ridicules homeless people on the street, thinks women are second class citizens and thinks homosexuals should be in prison, what a good guy.
Khabib is from a small village in the Dagestan region of Russia. English is not even his second language. How can you blame him for not trash talking good enough? He did an amazing job by simply understanding what the hell Conor was talking about.
Khabib was trying his best not to react and he still got pulled into a few arguments with Conor. If Conor has a few more opportunities with Khabib before the fight, he can get to him. Khabib is a very proud guy and has a temper. Those things can ALWAYS be manipulated.
"Conor being disciplined..."? He's drunk off his ass, totally unprofessional. The guy has serious personal problems. Chael, you've never been so biased in your assessment
He picked Khabib to win he just gets what Conor is doing is all. He's being subjective something the Khabib and Conor Fanboys have trouble understanding
Jason Davis He was agitated though and noticeably so. Conor doesn't make people feel fear. Anger. With anger you can lose yourself pretty easily and it is a brilliant mental warfare to break down fighters before a fight. Not saying I would do something like that myself but promoting fights can turn into an act though Khabib is definitely on a more personal level for Conor which makes this very unpredictable. They have both done things they shouldn't have and I am pretty sure none of them actually regret it.
Roderick Sutton you spelled “he” wrong idiot. Also, Khabib is gonna to fuck him up. Drinking days out from a fight with Khabib!? “If he dies, he dies.” Get ready to lose tragically.
Nosmalija Yunos no Conor was the first double champion in history why defend and risk the belts and legacy he went 10 or 11 rounds with the greatest boxer ever Mayweather himself said Conor fears no man Khabib fears Magomedov,Putin,Kadyrov and Ali’s connections
It was like self talking. Infront of a baby with a beard. Rubbing his nose only. The only way press could go by Conor taking. Khabib shouldn't have been therem
Here is a genuine question.....Put yourself in Khabibs position, Could anyone here put up with that? Business and entertainment aside Khabib done well to have that level of Composure. Give me a like if you couldn’t put up with Conor and you think Khabib handled it well
It’s crystal clear that Chael Sonnen is not been incisive in his assessment here.Nobody expected Khabib to outwit Connor. This man didn’t understand more than half of what Connor was saying. It didn’t make any sense to him.Khabib don’t even speak very good English, how do you expect him to win here.Oct 6th is upon us.Lets see if Connor would be able to talk the talk
Tyler Moreland It can easily go either way. I am a fan of McGregor as a fighter. Khabib? Don't care. Maybe if he could actually learn how to do something else besides takedowns then I might like his fight style better but I don't see that happening. He is no GSP. That is for sure.
he is not objective , cuz he's comedian himself , so its pretty obvious he'll keep conor side. As for me , conor didnt show anything new besides promotion of his whiskey . We already saw that and heard that . I think he lost this time. When KHALABIB (< COCO DIAZ :D) told him he tapped 3-4 times he had no answer on that . For me khabib won this one.
No need to insult . As i said , nothing new . We already heard all the sh*t talk he was doing.MAybe he's on another lvl , however he didnt progress since then , therefore he's moving backwards. After this fight he'll retire same as ronda . Btw he lost to NATE DIAZ and unfortunatelly for you i have to agree to opinion that he has loser mentality. He tapped , didn't he ? Sorry , bro , he's done . If u ask me , the real belt fight should be TONY v KHABIB , but because UFC is all about money now , there u go , u have ur silly fight . Conor didn't deserved to fight for the belt . I also would like to remind u that he didnt fight for 2 years and yet after they annouced his back he advanced in rankings so being objective they know (everybody knows) conor is only the way (one of many ways , same goes to Brock vs DC superfight) to make ufc get money back after UFC soldout. MONEY TALKS , no more sport and FAIR PLAY inside UFC . I just can't wait for the mass migration of the fighters to normal federations . Offtoping i miss Forest Griffin's ERA fighters . Best ufc EVER back then.
Your talking out of your ass Eddie Alvarez may not be the greatest of all time but he is most definitely a top fighter hence winning a title in the toughest fighting competition in the world beating names like RDA, Pettis, Melendez and Gaethje. Also you have no idea what your talking about with Cerrone (or even how to spell his name) he got moved up two years ago because he had two hard losses two RDA despite being on a hot streak, so they moved him up because he wasn't beating RDA and has been getting destroyed since. As for Dana clearing the way for Mcgregor, your completely lost. Anyone that knows a thing about MMA will admit Conor is Dana's favorite but Dana did not clear the way, on the top of my head I think Conor had the hardest fight path out of anyone in the UFC. Since his debut he fought Holloway - Brandao - Poirier - Siver - Mendes - Aldo - Nate Diaz - Nate Diaz - Eddie Alvarez and took on the greatest boxer of this era. Name me another person who fought that level of competition from their debut to now, there is nobody that comes close nevermind saying Dana cleared the path for him.
No no no no.. I disagree.... I think khabib won that mental game.. Conor was going nuts trying to get under his skin... But khabib is in a different level bro
This ia only my opinion but, MacGregor is a master at mind games leading up to fights. I'm not a big fan but, I noticed today at the press conference, MacGregor was just shouting over top of everyone and not being witty at all. Usually he has people laughing because he pokes fun at his opponents and people tend to getvangry when laughed at. Today, he just sounded like a raving lunitic, no sharp jabs or witty answers just "shut you mouth" or "your a coward". He seemed more interested in selling his whiskey. I think he is rattled. Anyone who thinks he made a fool of Kahbibb, is fooling themselves. He came across as a drunken loudmouth the kind you find near closing time, yelling and posturing but, not saying anything intelligent. And his habit of screamingvover thevother fighter when he's trying to answer a direct question, is just childish.
I agree. Conor was actually cringy. In the past I loved his press conferences, as you said he made us laugh, he was witty, calm and collected. He let others talk so he could answer with his comedy jabs. Here he was just shouting, zero intelligent come backs, completely emotional. Khabib was just laughing at him. I hope Conor gets himself together before the fight, or it will go bad for him.
Your saying what everybody is saying except the the mainstream. I think the same. It's just getting lame PS I've read a lot of comments, just for the fuck of it
@Mitchell, totally agree with u. You only need to look in slow motion at the two fighters after the first staredown they had when Khabib entered the press con and the face off afterwards. Imho Conor already lost.
Agreed. He used to be shit-hot charismatic at the talking side of the game. Now he is just a boor. His conduct in the last few years indicates that he is mentally going off the rails. Let the martial arts work themselves out and fair play if he wins (still love his fighting style) but wouldn't mind if he gets a humbling mauling if that's how it plays out. You can't root for a complete dick.
Agreed. He didn't come across as the leader, or as the more confident one. He just sounded angry and belligerent. "I don't lick anyone's arsehole for money." I mean that's great, but he was on another level, and not one I want to be on.
Conor and Chael have given us some of the most entertaining moments in UFC history, but IMO this press conference was sad, Conor seems to be unraveling.
I guarantee Khabib didn't feel any negative emotions other than annoyance during the press conference. Chael is so full of shit. Khabib wasn't bothered at all, and Conor made a fool of himself, again. We're tired of his act.
I don't think 'bothered' and 'annoyed' are the same, or at least not in this context. The way Chael was saying it, was like Khabib was legitimately worked up by Conor, which he wasn't. He was just annoyed, like anybody would be having to listen to a drunk guy scream and rant. Doesn't mean a whole lot as far as Conor 'getting in his head' or anything. Hell, even Dana White was rolling his eyes at Conor making a fool of himself.
REALLY GOOD OPINION SIR CHAEL-DEFINITELY YOU ARE ONE OF THE THE REASONS WHY IVE BEEN WATCHING UFC-COS YOU AND CONNOR HAS TAKEN UFC INTO A REALLY DRAMATIC ENTERTAINING EXCITING SPORT THAT EVEN US PURE KICKBOXERS WEVE GOTTEN TO APPRECIATE MMA BECAUSE OF WHAT DRAMA YOU GIVE US-THANK YOU-
@@Ericdgarcia to be a true champion you have to defend your title. Unline mcgregor, Holloway gave Aldo a rematch and whooped his ass even worst that the first time. i like conor but hom having them 2 belts at the press conference is ridiculous he is not the champ how did ufc allow that?
@@SS-gx9io because it looks good that's why who's gonna take them away Dana? Lol he toasted that whiskey with him lol Holloway should have moved up like Conor he wasn't getting younger and was growing now having problems cutting weight the body shut down that can't be healthy.
Khabib reminded me of Nate in that first presser. Calm, ignoring what Conor was saying. And reaffirming that whatever shit he talks come October 6th shits gonna get real
@@lujitsu1251 the fight is not done till the last bell plus he was on juice a cheater the second fight he was clean so Silva smoked his ass in first round!!!
Omid Amale omid, you are totally right. It's 5 round not 4-1/2. I was just pointing out Chael isn't just some chump I mean the guy knows fighting. you may also be right Ion the second fight, I didn't see that fight so I can't comment. I think if they are on the juice, they should be banned for life. I'm sick of that crap I just want to watch two guys do their best, and not cheat.
Khabib was speaking English. That's his second language. In Russian he is Conor's intellectual equal. Chael, how smart are you in your second language?
I love conors antics normally but it was cringey and felt forced without the fans there. Specifically the way that he immediately started yelling in a totally quiet room, clearly drunk and almost certainly coked out of his mind..it just came off as embarrassing to me and it seems hes just riding his past momentum.
I don’t think anyone won. Kahbib did get angry at the end. But Conner tried everything, and I saw Kahbib her under his skin. When he turned down the whisky, Conner was at a loss because we all know he had something premeditated to say if he would have taken the drink. Conner was pissed. And when Conner went after the heritage and Kahbib turned it around and asked him why he speaks English, again Conner was upset. As much as Conner got a rise, Kahbib definitely got under Conner’s skin. If I had to choose, I’d say Kahbib owned it.
My initial thoughts were that Conor would take this fight - probably by a stoppage but now I have serious doubts. I've never seen so Conor so emotional and during the weigh in and stare down he was visibly scared. Look at his chest and shoulders he's clearly breathing heavily where Khabib was calm and composed. Conor's lost the psychological battle on this one let's see what happens in the fight
Chael are you high on something, all we saw was Conor getting nervous and frustrated, trying too hard and Khabib countering him asking him why he didn't speak his own language at which Conor freak out turning his face into red.
Lol conor got under his skin and got baited when he say about his father coward coz of fear and about Putin..The only one who looks scared is khabib when conor ask are u disrespecting ur President (Putin).. Funny as hell..
