Except Black Pepper, cinnamon and cloves the whole process is just perfect Or else the tea will totally taste like a herbal remedies. . But still i would refer have tea with some Bay leaves ,ginger paste and cardamom powder. 😊it's really delicious

Love this! I’ve been looking for a chai recipe since most of the ones on sale are rather weak. The black peppercorns were a nice surprise. I can imagine them giving the chai an extra oomph.

This is great! It’s probably my fault since our cinnamon sticks were super old and i didn’t add enough ginger but the spice could be a little stronger? Or is that how it’s supposed to be? Anyways, its amazing, can’t wait to make this in winter!

This recipe has many clear mistakes. First, one loses the flavour of ginger by boiling it for so long. If spices are to be boiled in scalding water for 10-12 minutes, add the ginger only 2-3 minutes before the end. In fact, I recommend adding the cardamon towards the end as well (maybe 4 minutes before taking the pot off the stove). As it stands, this is more of a recipe for cinnamon tea, and not masala chai latte as the other delicate spices would tend to get lost or become bitter and overly roasted in the sustained heat. Secondly, I am a fan of adding the whipped milk in the teapot itself instead of the cup. That way, you don't lose heat while mixing the tea with the milk in the cup (which you didn't), and some people like their tea really hot. Lastly, your recipe, indirectly, calls for pasteurised milk since you didn't boil it, so people ought to try this with packaged milk and not the version they get from their milkman unless they want to run a health risk. This should be made clear.

Always add a tiny pinch of salt, works wonders! And you wouldn't need do much sugar to sweeten it. When I was in school I had a Pakistani friend, I used to go to her house a lot and her mum made this tea quite often. It's really incomparable to the chai lattes you get in cafes, it was really something else! Even now I still remember it, she used to serve it with a coconut cake soaked in some sweet spicy water. Ohhh the memories! Sadly we went to different high schools and lost contact with each other, but I still remember you Abeer. ❤️

By reading "chai latte" , anyone would think🤔 it's something new.but after viewing ,it's nothing but masala chai 😕😝😏.just a fancy name.I prepare it once in a day ,but I use direct tea powder(not tea bags).As well as we add milk directly to tea boiling water which makes it taste best. This ratio is kind of wrong. Also, i like to put milk in the chai mix for an optimal flavour and boil it altogether.

Just made this tea (added honey instead of sugar) and it tastes amaaazing. I'll make it more often. Note: I reduced the ratio of the spices a little, just a little.
