To create this weave we suggest the following:
14G(1.6mm) 5/16"(7.94mm)ID &
14G(1.6mm) 4.75mmID
OR
16G(1.2mm) 5.75mmID &
16G(1.2mm) 1/8"(3.18mm)
OR
18G(1.0mm) 3/16"(4.76mm)ID &
18G(1.0mm) 3.00mmID
OR
20G(0.8mm) 3.75mmID &
20G(0.8mm) 2.50mmID
2 pairs of smooth jawed pliers:

Learning Chainmaille is so funny, it took this more intermediate weave for me to Finally understand Mobius LOL Thanks for another Great Tutorial!!!

Love this weave especially in 18 gage. I was amazed that I quickly got this one. I have tried “easier” weaves that I made 4 attempts before I figured it out. Deb, your videos are always so helpful.

Hi Aussie I didn't catch your name, anyway, I love the way you work with jump rings!!! I was wondering where a person might buy very large amounts of yhe rings? Here in the US, the quality of jump rings are very good for what you are doing.I can make my own but again it takes waay to much wire and of course costs are very high when it comes to almost evert thing in this country!!!! thanks for another great video!

Glad it was helpful. I have yet to write a pdf, I hope I can create one that is understandable. Some weaves are hard to convert to the written word and static images. Deb

@@AussieMaillers Usually your tutorials either written or printed are very easy to understand. Having both though would be great...the video for the full tutorial learning and the printed as a sort of crib notes! :)

@@AussieMaillers I’m pretty new to chainmaille, but I would love to try it. I didn’t hear you say how many of each size is needed, though. I would probably be trying it with the 18g AWG rings.

I love all your tutorials. I have learned new weaves with you and the back catalog. I saw an interesting one on Maille Artisans. Poor Queen's scale. I don't know if I can just look at a weave and try it or not.

Hi Deb, I’ve been watching and enjoying ur videos and find them very interesting. I’m pretty new to chainmaille, and have done a couple of pieces. I have in my stash 16awg (1.2) 3/16”/5.00mm are these ok to use in ur various demos? I found some of ur videos that use this size, but wondered if others would be ok to use this size? I need some advice please. Look forward to ur reply, and more tutorials. Take care ❤

Hi Janice. You can't use one ring size for all weaves, certain rings will only work for certain weaves. Use my suggestions as a starting point, if the ring ID I suggest is close to the one you have, it might work, but if they are wildly different, say I use 1/4"(6.35mm) then odds of the 3/16"ID ring working are slim to none. Hope that helps.
