On Saturday, May 7th 48 students traveled to Nashville, TN to record 8 songs at Starstruck Studios, a world class recording studio owned by Reba McEntire.

When Kala's voice catches up with her old sole, she is going to be a power house. She has that natural feel for music that can't be taught. You either have it or you don't and boy does she have it.

REAL instruments. Real people. Real (not digital) soul. Simplicity. In the pocket. A guitar player that can read staff (I can tell). And YOUNG people cooperating. Hey Bix, I was visiting Austin TX some yrs back and went to the Guitar Center. I was playing an acoustic when a lady sat down and started playing with me. We went back and forth playing. We finally stop and laughed. She told me, “it’s amazing how music can bring two total strangers together.” I couldn’t agree more.

I've known about Kala for years now but somehow this one escaped me until today and I listen to O'Keefe a good at least 3 days a week when I wake up in the morning every week for years so I don't know how that happened. I am always blown away by this chick

How is it possible a Girl at that Age has such a rich and well developed voice?? At the beginning I thought, well, will be a nice song but a few Levels above her skills and what her voice is capable of as this song really is a tough one singing. But then... I would not believe if I had not seen. Still very Little which just cannot be in a voice of a 10 year old and "would" be needed for a song like this but even compared with professional adults this one is on a very high Level.
