How the Fk'd you get that back off man? I had to take the bolt off of the holder..

If number 1 hook is holding tension on the wire. Place number 2 hook on the link in front. Manipulate the lever so number 1 hook releases enough to remove it from the chain. Number 2 hook is now holding tension but a link slacker. Repeat as necessary until you can remove it from the wire. Takes a bit of practice but you will soon get the hang on it

Try a figure 8 knot next time ? Two wires looped,and,twitched like that put incredible force where the wires pass over each other. Yes,put the glasses on.....the sudden "give way" of the "Hayes type" strainer at 39.00 seconds could cost you an eye,or,fingers!! Messy demonstration,and,how not to use a chain strainer with a rushed attitude! Dangerous!
