I don't know if you'll ever see this since this video is 4 years old as I watch. This was so special for me because one of my favorite memories from my childhood was frying marbles with my mother. I think of that often but never knew the temperature (I was pretty young and I'm 68 now.) I can't wait to get some marbles to fry with my sister. She's all I have left of my family.

I love this tutorial. I have been making jewelry for years but am having a really hard time mastering this. I am confident that at some point I will get it. I absolutely love your voice, personality, and your ability to teach. I will watch this probably a million more times before I am actually able to complete one. But that is the joy in learning a new project. Once I have completed it I feel so much more confident!

I am a bit upset at other RU-vidrs stealing your idea's giving you no credit and passing them off as their own. I appreciate you making all your videos and have been a longtime fan and subscriber so it offends me that they don't give you a plug or at least mention you in the description box or comments. I know it happens to artists all the time but it is one thing to learn the technique and make it yourself but I find it a completely different thing to make it into another much less in depth tutorial and pass it off as if they came up with it even so much as to steal the name "Whirly Bird". I am disheartened and sorry that this happens and has happened in past tutorials I have seen of your 's just know there is a large group of us here who support you and your art and are truly grateful for all you show is and would never do such a thing to you.
@backtoearthcreations
@backtoearthcreations 4 года назад
Hey, Ashley! I'm honored by your kindness, but I didn't invent this design: it was taught to me as a whirly bird design. This is a different way that I started weaving it over the years, so I thought I'd share it in a tutorial, but with many chainmaille designs there isn't a proper person to credit because they've been around so long (way before the internet) there are some modern weaves that have credit to an original designer (jpl is an example of this)
