When I cure wood,carved, or de barked, I store it in dry, open air covered places, out of direct sun light and exposure to wind and rain... I cover with ply wood, or sheet metal, prefer not to use tarps, issue with tarps or plastic is they trap, and hold moisture, if I use tarp or plastic, I try putting it over ply wood, so it doesn't have direct contact with the curing wood...
