This is great. How do you usually attach your bigger pieces so they don’t fall over when carving? Screw plywood to your piece and then screw the plywood down on a stump?
Thank you normally bigger pieces dont need footing... you can use anything for footing on a wobbly piece, I've bolder long beams under heath large pieces, if the piece had a lot of top end leverage weight. Footing base , ad in spread is more helpfull than weight, if that makes sense... I only need the ply wood for these smaller carvings, or stuff that's going to move around, I show in many other videos what I do to hold things down, I use a variety of methods, depending on the situation.
Canola, but only in saws that get constant use. If I'm going to store a saw away, I run cleaners and regular bar oil through them, canola hardens up over time, and with heat. So saws need regular cleaning.
