I just don’t understand people finding any reason to get upset and ruin the various universes for the rest of us that aren’t influenced to act in discriminatory ways just because an animated character says or does something. Discrimination is nothing new AND, if it’s not a hero or protagonist of the story that’s doing the “offending”, it logically connotes the evils of discrimination when juxtaposed with a villainous character. As I am a reasonable and level headed individual, it causes me severe headaches when I try to imagine the scenario where a parent reads Chainsaw Man, has no problem with their teenage child reading or watching, but then draws the line and files a complaint for some “discriminatory” language. There’s a DEEPLY uncomfortable sickness in the minds of people like that and they’re infectious to everyone around them that feels justified in administering their special brand of “justice”. They’ll do anything for attention and those warm and fuzzy feelings they get with their false sense of superiority. I’m a guy that hates war, violence, bullying, etcetera. And I don’t use the word lightly. I HATE those things. But anime isn’t reality. Not being reality is kinda the point. To become immersed into a hypothetical reality that’s entertaining. The whole school girl thing they keep harping on in anime is sad and should be avoided to prevent the cash flow into the same, but I digress. It’s just sad and infuriating to know that the people throwing child like tantrums over silly things in art are the same people that have no talent, no lives, and whether they’re doing it consciously or not, they’re literally fighting to stifle creativity just so they don’t feel so left behind. Their entire existence revolves around attaching themselves to successful people whatever way they can so they too can have a feeling of success, accomplishment, and importance. However, as stated above, that’s nothing more than deep seated sickness. And they need professional help to work through their problems. People shouldn’t be encouraging their illnesses by giving in to their demands.

Look Back is good, but let's be honest that theater is the Goodbye Eri waiting room.
