It’s a list of worst anime that reviewers actually finished. So there could be worse anime out there, but ANN reviewers dropped it. This is probably why Demon Slayer is on the list.
It sounds like the movies stopped short of the manga ending. Episode 0 is roughly the first quarter of the final manga arc. So it sounds like the ONA will finish the manga ending as well as add new content (the mangaka said in an interview that the anime would have a new ending, but I am not sure now if he meant new compared to the manga or just the movie). There's a fan-made patch out there that fixes some of the issues, but obviously that's not through "proper" channels, so hopefully they fix the issue on Crunchyroll.
So I just finished episode 14 and feel disappointed. I actually really loved the earlier parts of this show where my perceptions of each character ended up being subverted. It built stakes, gave context for the imperfect world of Ranking of Kings, and gave way for Bojji to further his resolve. Unfortunately, I decided to pause my watching because of characters like Apeas and Dorshe. Now, I actually quite like Dorshe and don't believe that either of these two are inherently bad characters. My problem lies with how they don't really shape what a "king" is or connect to Bojji and/or Daida's stories in any meaningful way. For the amount of screen time they occupy, they barely add to the plot (imo). Furthermore, Daida's possession and the concept of Ouken's character could be an amazing way for Daida and Bojji to question what being omnipotent entails and whether or not that is something that should be desired in their pursuit of becoming king. From what I've seen since stalling on episode 15, it seems like that question wasn't really explored. Miranjo being so easily forgiven appears to have watered down the impact anyway. There was so much potential here to explore the different mindsets that royals possess- especially within the world-building of immortals and powerhouses. Adding on, Bojji is the perfect antithesis to his societies definition of a "successful king" and I believe he still doesn't fully realize that. This is all to say, aside from Bojji being able to fight in his own style, I wanted him to pick apart the best ideas of what a "king" are from those different mindsets and redefine societies belief of a "successful king". Sure, he can fight now, but what does being the best king actually mean to him? What if he had a moment where he questioned whether or not being a king was a good thing? Hopefully this rant makes sense. Apologies if it doesn't entirely fit in with the context of this video, I just needed to think it out somewhere lol.
I always knew the author was a weird MF just thought I wouldn't have to be one myself to enjoy the show. Turns out it revolves around empathizing with characters who are okay with rape, murdering children and owning people, and rooting for them to cure their erectile disfunction, getting over their traumas and doing well in love. I feel like I wasted a lot of time with this BS I just cannot keep watching it, I'm disgusted.
Madoka magica is honestly kind of scary, but also a good series at the same time and idk why I been watching it for a while watching it over and over and over again and it’s still interesting every time
