I think Power mentioned that Meowy got taken away right before Makima found her so my guess is Public Safety was hunting the bat devil when they came across Power and cleaned her up. Since she just joined the crew as well, it must have only been a few days or weeks ago.

In the ED where Makima is dressed, looking oh so ethereal and reaching out to Denji while he's naked and reaching out to her is definitely referencing "Creation of Adam" painting by Michelangelo which resides in the Sistine chapel or its referencing "Assumption of Virgin Mary" by Bartolome Murillo The symbolism go crazzzzy with this show

It's true that Denji & Power could've tag teamed the bat devil easily but Power had no idea about Denji's abilities. Just like the bat devil, Power percieved Denji as a human as well. It's only when he pulls the cord and transforms that he gives the acent of a devil. Makima's by far the only one to accurately percieve Denji's true nature due to her nose being exceptionally enhanced.

Makima's explanation of how the Devil system works is some nice starting worldbuilding, but it's also *huge* subtle foreshadowing about a certain future plot point! Considering what we saw in these few episodes, there's clearly an example of some sort of "anomaly" going against that power system.

I'm loving people watch this 3rd ending and discovering the musical chaos that is the band, "Maximum the Hormone". They got 4 band members, they all sing (and in different styles), and their style of music is so very distinct. They frequently switch genres mid-song.

Not only do they have a new ending sequence and song every episode, but all of these are written exclusively for the anime(tho that has kinda become the norm now, but never 13 songs for 12 episodes). Plus these songs release with the corresponding episode they feature in. So there are still 9 more tracks which we dont even know what those sound like

So the thing about the devils and the fear of the name which associates with their strengths; it’s more so that everything associated with the name attributes itself to that devil. So for instance, the bat devil goes with fear of bats but also can go with a fear of vampires innocence because vampires are associated with bats. Just like how power is a fear of blood but it’s not necessarily being afraid of blood but could be afraid of bleeding out or the color red or whatever else. It can get a little confusing once you meet the other devils, some are more understandable than others on how strong they are but that’s how that all works.

@mila Mappa is the second highest paying studio in Japan. So they're still better paid than other studio's like JC staff or A-1 pictures. But the average animator wage in general is pretty low all over Japan.

The way that they translated Power talking about her feelings towards humans is weird. In the manga, it’s more clear that it isn’t “like” an instinct, it *is* one. Devils naturally have a negative disposition towards humans, though it can be overcome through practice. Additionally, fiends have their devilish instincts filled a bit since they’re a bit more human themself.

@@skyguy713 even more definite spoilers: the angel devil told aki that he has asked other devils what they remember from hell and they don't remember anything except the sound of chainsaw man's running chainsaws and scream right before they died in hell which later made sense cause of what makima said about him and with the bat devil I didn't notice him being scared in the manga but seeing it in the anime seems like he had recognized the scream and the chainsaw sound
