This Chalk Line Hook Hack Can be Made with a Single Nail
I've been making a using this type of hook for my chalk line for over 20 years. There are many advantages to this type of hook. It makes it much easier to retrieve the hook when snapping long distances. It also allows for a MUCH steeper angle of approach to the edge of the workpiece. This is especially helpful for marking and cutting roof sheeting. I made the hook in this video from a single large drywall nail.
