This should have never happened in the first place. You’re better off getting a battery, even if something smaller than a Tesla power wall. Store and keep the energy you use, stop giving it away. Once enough people start keeping and using the energy they create, the utilities will finally make a change out of desperation.
The state REQUIRES all new homes to have solar. The new home owner is paying for those panels. Then when those panels provide extra power to the utilities, those utilities are able to charge lower income non home owners full price for that cheap electricity. Seems to me that it is home owners who are subsidizing renters..... which has been true for decades since renters arent paying property taxes.
