ULTRALIGHT Fishing Breakwall Adventure for Australian SALMON

We're exploring another rock fishing hotspot in metro Adelaide, South Australia. The Outer Harbor Break Wall is a favourite of many metro Adelaide anglers with a range of species from bream and whiting to snook, mulloway and more. We started the day targeting squid floating both Inku Squid Jigs and Tommy Ruff (Australian Herring) teasers. At the same time, we tried a range of soft plastics, vibes and hard body lures to catch whatever fish we could.
It was fast looking like a session destined for a donut resulting in no fish. But after some significant challenges, we caught a feed of Australian Salmon on Ultralight fishing gear using both metal lures and hardbodies.
The standout lure of the day was the Rapala XRap XR08 GGH (Glass Ghost) catching three of the four Australian Salmon caught during the session.
It was a highly challenging fishing session and an emotional roller coaster and I hope I was able to capture that in the editing. From falling over, getting annoyed and sad about not catching anything to then suddenly the fish coming on the bite and catching them on ultralight fishing gear.
The main rod used was the Shimano Raider 722 Bream 1-3KG with a Shimano 2500 HG Ultegra Reel spooled with 6lb Daiwa J Braid paired with Shimano Ocea F 8lb leader.
