Nice catch, but The FIREX system automatically self tests upon power up and continuously tests itself throughout flight as well. Which is why we don’t run it on the systems test.
@@richardbelt3716 odd, in the AMM for Maintenance Runs before APU start we’re supposed to do a Fire System Test. Must be different checklist for pilots!
@@pilarchuck I think the only reason us pilots would use it in the systems test would be if there was an unusual CAS message pertaining to the FIREX and we were prompted to do so via the abnormal checklist. Maintenance is a different story.
@@pilarchuckI can tell you in the Challenger 605 (which I also fly) we run the engine Fire test and test the squibs before starting the APU. But not in the 300, which is a more modern design.
@@richardbelt3716 probably like you said difference between Pilots and MX for MX reasons. Been mx crew chief on Flex 300/350 for the last 7/8 years. Was trying to see if there was an emergency procedures video on RU-vid to try and help my new guys
