The problem for the patient which I am one, is your approach is not to help us eliminate the disease but to help us live with it using therapies that lose their effectiveness over time.

That is unacceptable I won’t waste my time with that defeatist attitude. But boy the drug manufacturers make money. There are so many studies out there that show promise but ever get attention or human trials because there is no money in it.

The problem of Crohn's is the blood. I treated it through the blood. I took herbs from us from Egypt. I bought it. It was called a cholesterol solvent and a liver fat solvent. I was cured of Crohn's. It simply means the colon is not the actual problem. The whole story is blood. recover.....

Thank you for posting this video. I was one of those patients insisting on dietary management. Long story short I wound up in the hospital with an abscess so large that it's pushing my spine and hip out of place. I am in so much pain. It's very comforting to have access to information on my disease and the treatments that are soon to come. I'm scared for my surgery this October. And to the people in the comments with this disease that say they sometimes feel suicidal, me too... Just made an anti suicide pact with a family member a few months ago. It helped me. Hang in there guys.

I’m a 26 year Crohns veteran; I was 17 years old upon my initial diagnosis ,and underwent my first surgery 3 months after my initial diagnosis and had to have a permanent ileostomy since my disease was so severe and conventional therapies were failing to bring me into remission. I’ve had several major intestinal surgeries during that time . I’m currently on Humira Pens which so far have kept me out of the hospital for nearly 2 years now and the other biologic I have ever been on since my diagnosis was Remicade which kept me in remission . I’ve been on many conventional Crohn’s therapies.

What was your symptoms??
@carlahead5072
@carlahead5072 4 года назад
Siddhant Srivastav well initially it started out as minor rectal bleeding,which got worse and the blood went from being bright red to maroon colored red mixed with lots of mucus which I started passing ,along with the maroon colored blood and I lost more blood over a short time period ,which dropped my BP down to 90/60 and my RBC and hemoglobin levels were both dangerously low,along with my hematocrit levels. Once I was admitted into the hospital the 1st time, my family doctor consulted a GI doc to evaluate my symptoms to help come up with a diagnosis so that I could perhaps begin feeling much better. After all GI tests were complete, the GI and Family doctor concluded that my diagnosis was Regional Enteritis, and was changed to Ulcerative Colitis . I was started on a combination of conventional medical therapies which included Zanrac,Dipentum,Rowasa enemas to help relieve the inflammation pain in my rectum,and high doses of steroids ,Flagyl. I received IV fluids,nausea medications, and two pints of o positive blood and my conventional med therapies. I went from weighing 142 pounds down to 85 pounds in three weeks time . People thought I had an eating disorder called anorexia or I was on drugs ,neither was true. I lost about 55 pounds in 3 weeks without trying to. To make a long story short, 3 months into my diagnosis I underwent a total colectomy by a colon rectal surgeon who during my first visit my colon rectal surgeon did a sigmoidoscopy (I never underwent a colonoscopy because I was too week and had lost too much blood) 🩸in other words, doing a colonoscopy would’ve been way too risky the doctors thought so the surgeon didn’t have to go far with the sigmoid scope to tell him all he needed to know and which way to progress with my treatment. His facial expression told the story which was quite serious and knew that my situation was life threatening. He had a private conversation in another exam room from the one I was in and in a short time, he and my parents came back into my exam room and explained to me what his findings with the scope were and basically he explained in great detail to me what my option(s) were which was to undergo a total colectomy (removing my entire colon was only option because the high doses of the conventional medical therapies I’d been taking for the past three months since my diagnosis were failing to control my Ulcerative Colitis symptoms and unfortunately, in 1993 biologic therapies weren’t yet available and it would’ve been 5 or 10 years later before the first biologic therapy would’ve been on the market to help treat and control UC and Crohns symptoms and that 1st biologic med was called Remicade (Infliximab) available in 1998 . The surgeon wanted to admit me into the hospital that same day as my first evaluation by him because I was far sicker than anyone knew and my surgeon told me to A. undergo that total colectomy to remove my entire colon , or B die soon because I would’ve bled to death from complications of ulcerative colitis. at 17 years old and I could just look at my parents facial expressions which told me that on the outside they looked pretty calm yet on the inside they were crying there because I nearly died. I told the doctor that I decided to undergo the surgery because he was indeed the best colon rectal surgeon in the southeastern United States. I asked him if it’d be ok if I waited to have that surgery until after my birthday which was 6 days later because I saw the surgeon on June 21st,1993 and my 18th bday was on June 27th m1993 and he agreed but he said not to wait any longer than that,so on June 29th,1993 I was admired into Northside Hospital located in Atlanta Georgia (United States). Me and my daddy were born and raised in Atlanta GA and my mom was originally born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. You couldn’t imagine the fear that took over my body -facing major surgery like that was absolutely terrifying though ,but I had lots of family support and most importantly GOD himself and my church family and I knew that I’d be well again once I under went that surgery I’d be well again and go back to where I was when I became ill . Spent two weeks hospitalized recovering from surgery . Woke up with 30 staples up and down my abdomen and a ileostomy pouch on my right side. I’ felt so much better- it was pretty awesome not be critically ill and just knowing I will always be well . No more meds which had horrific side effects and said that my colon literally fell apart in his hands and one of the worst severely diseased colons he had seen during his 30 plus year career. Siohban I’d like to offer you an apology for such writing such a lengthy story , but just wanted everyone to know what Crohn’s Disease a horrible chronic incurable digestive disease . Siohban, since my story is quite lengthy and you chose not to read it because of its length , there’ll be no. hard feelings and I’ll continue watching your RU-vid videos as I enjoy watching them and seeing your generosity and kindness shown toward your patients. Mine was so chronic and I had such severe pain became dependent on morphine for 2 years. It was horrendous. I felt like a junkie. I finally had the guts (excuse the pun-Lol) to sit down with my primary care physician. I now have monthly infliximabTherapy and use Buprenorphine patches which I am slowly reducing. I have a dedicated stoma nurse, a medical gasterenrologist and an assigned surgeon. Thank God for the British NHS because If i lived in the US, I honestly don’t know how i would cope emotionally and financially and for this i am truly grateful. Can i ask? How do you cope in America with regard to cost? Your monthly premiums must be so expensive.

Do anyone still doubt natural herbs? I've seen the great importance of natural herbs and the wonderful work they have done in people's lives. I wonder why people still spend their money on surgery, injections and drugs each time they are sick. Natural herbs can cure all kinds of illness including herpes, diabetics, asthma, Cancer, hepatitis, etc. I've seen it with my own eyes. I was cured of ulcerative colitis and my Sister and her Husband were cured of herpes by dr Osemuahu who uses natural herbs to cure different kind of illness. Even Dr. Osemuahu proved to the whole world that natural herbs can cure all diseases and he cured countless of people using natural herbs. I know is hard to believe but am a living testimony. There is no harm in trying herbs. Contact Dr Osemuahu(whatsap no): +2349053317809 or email: contact@drosemuahuherbalhome.com Thanks to him 😊😊

@@Recusant_ we also have private hospitals and day surgeries etc here in Australia. If you want it immediately, you can get it immediately for $$$. If you are fine waiting on the public system then understand there will be a wait, but Australias and the UKs healthcare system is superior to the US.

Brilliant seminar! Brilliant but sad. One can easily detect language indicating that GEs have insufficient knowledge and medicines to treat this disease. The pharmaceutical companies need to step up development of new drugs, especially in the MAB class.

Don't give up. I have it too. This stuff is evil. Please check out Jeff Juices and Dr. Terry Wahl's diet. I know you're probably really tired of people telling you what to eat. Everyone's body is different. But these two different approaches might have some relief for you. Don't give up. I know you're hurting. But please don't give up.

"This is precisely why I never see any MD Doctor listening to this video. No substance and all medical jargon. Did not learn anything and no cause of Cron's disease was ever addressed. We do not have a deficiency of a DRUG. Symptom-based medicine does not address the cause. Surgery is simply a bandaid at best. Really Pathetic really. Holistic Chef Barry Anderson

Hi Barry as a holistic chef your part in patient treatment is one of the most important but id like to clear one point. This video is addressed specifically at MD Doctors. I am a Gastrosurgeon and this video gave me at least one point which I will incorporate into my practice tomorrow. It is a very specific video dealing with a specific category of patients as a part of a series of lectures from a conference. The video series will help doctors around the world who don't have access to these conferences in their countries. It is a very noble effort that should be applauded. I don think this is for patients and its probably not what you are searching for. But as a Holistic chef I would consider you as important as the surgeon. The problem comes when we feel we are the most important player in a multidisciplinary team. The patient needs a chef to come up with tasty and nutritious food that will not aggravate his disease and even control it (various foods like turmeric have shown benefits). The chef, dietician and nutritionist have the most important role in day to day care but when an abscess or perforation develops the patient needs a surgeon. When a bandaid is needed, it must be applied. We are all interdependent on each other to improve patient outcomes. Hope I haven't dragged on Barry but I just wanted to clear the air :)

please take time to read this, it might help you my husband suffered from crohn's disease almost all his life and i can tell you that its really terrible, watching him get lean and pale worried me the more, he lost appetite, he was always and was unable to go to work again,he kept having sores in his mouth and the constant pain was making the situation worse. we kept going from one gastroenterologist to another, they were not helping the situation, they kept giving us different drugs and it was making it worse,they kept increasing the dosage, in 2016 when i went to cvs pharmacy to go and get another drugs for him, that was were i heard about dr folonsho a herbal doctor, who specialises in using natural roots and herbs to treat diseases and chronic pain. at first i was in doubt, because we have tried many options that were not helping and all the doctors we came across told us that there was no cure, and i believed, so i contacted this herbal doctor and he said he could help my husband,after i told him my problem, he said he has a herbal remedy that can heal my husband and reverse this illness completely and he will be back to his normal state of health, not having many alternatives anymore i requested for the herbal remedy,because the situation was getting worse, after using the medicine for about 3 weeks there was great improvement, and my husband was getting back to his normal self, its been 4 years now and my husband is still strong as ever, all thanks to dr folonsho, and may GOD continue to bless you, so if you are still sufferring from this disease kindly contact dr folonsho today either through email drfolonsho@gmail.com or via whats app +2348073410606 or you can check out his website drfolonshoherbalhome.simdif. com/ and you will be glad you did, i wouldn't want someone to experience what my husband experienced

This lecture is not meant for patients, that's why it has too many jargons as you said. The audience are experienced doctors, not even medical students. That's why it is not comprehensive. Also sometimes we just don't know the cause of some disease.
