I tried the square ones and had a hard time with it. I stay with the round stones. I still have a new diamond painting with the square stones. I will get it out and give it another try
no shit I actually had some gel tabs about a month ago. they were clear with gold specks and they were the strongest shit I've ever come across. way more powerful than anything I did in the 90s
I’ve always wanted to try a diamond painting with square gems because the circle gems always bother me because they weren’t turned the same way, but I know the square gems might also bother me because they’d never be perfectly aligned
Ohhhhhh so that's how it's done!!! I thought they were all done one at a time. Still not the hobby for me, I'd go absolutely NUTS with all those tincy tiny little diamonds!

@chrisbowe4238 4 years is 3 years, 51 weeks & 6 days longer than I could spend on one of these puzzles! Waaaay too much for my attention span to handle. In fact, I think my attention span is only slightly larger than one of those little plastic diamonds! AND My cats would love love LOVE it if I started this hobby, they would send 'em everywhere just to add an extra layer of chaos to my life. Hats off to the both of you. I wish you luck and speedy diamond-ing. Hopefully it won't take another 4 years for it to be finished and hung on the wall. :)
I’m doing my first square painting at the moment. I’m not a fan. It just doesn’t turn out perfect enough for me.. but with round drills it isn’t so obvious if they’re not perfect

I have a square drilled one. I tried but, had such a difficult time putting the stones together. Can you give me any advice? I would like to give the square drilled another chance,
If there are many same colors, it is faster to use a multi-hole dot drill pen, but in discrete colors, a single-hole dot drill pen is more accurate. I hope you can find a more suitable method for making diamond paintings.

I made adjustments after applying the diamonds. The square diamond painting has no gaps and is arranged more neatly. You can adjust it according to your own ideas. The one that suits you is the best.

the tool has a hole at the tip (where the diamond goes) and the kits provide wax. you stick the tip into the wax and the wax sticks to the diamonds, thats how you pick it up. simple insert the wax, tap a diamond (if you have to use force for it to stick you need more wax in the tool, use the x-acto knife to get it out), then place it on the symbol. the entire picture comes with a plastic on top to cover/protect the sticky parts. TLDR: the tool uses wax to pick up diamonds. take the protective plastic off, place the diamond on the assigned symbol, it will stick on its own.
that's how you use that toy I always hated it because you got to put them individually one by one using your fingers that would have made it so much easier and faster and less raging
Could you tell me the name of the tool you used in the beginning of the vid. It looked like you were using it to push together/straighten your work. I have found it in a tool kit but not sold by itself. If can help would appreciate it
