Excellent job as well Joe at ice safety too. People love you, and your videos. But what some may not understand is, how quick things can change out there. You may love ice fishing, and think you have all the right gear, but it doesn't take much for your plans to change. I'm happy to see you educating People out there. That may be enough to save somebody's life someday.

Great video , really enjoyed it. That coloured spot on the 21 incher may be a stocking mark. Some departments use a ink injection to mark hatchery fish. We see salmon up here all the time with the brite yellow dot marked by Michigan DNR.

Hey Joe it's Steve up in Millinocket I just hit Millinocket lake and did a 2 day trip it went awsome I did catch my pb. Cusk which was about 30 inches but weather was poor I've already learned from your videos especially leaving a note on the pickup when you'll be back hope to go on a trip w u or see you out fishing some time cusk are my favorite species as well I'm usually free most of the winter and work during the summers

Great video, great save on that Brookie, Cam! Not sure if anybody noticed but the hook pulled just as it came out of the water. He had to swat it to keep from losing it. Lol!

Great advice to stay close to home for the first ice trip. That's right where I'm at. The ice cracking and booming is unreal to experience. I'm okay with catching sunfish and browns for my first year. If the cold you're in separates the boys from the men, then call me a boy this year hahaha.

I'm noticing you're releasing a lot of gut hooked fish by cutting the line due to your method of using live bait, I was wondering if you're using circle hooks to try and hook more fish in the mouth? Is there any particular reason you're not keeping more of these badly hooked fish? Awesome video thanks a million and I'm looking forward to watching you this season!

Got my best laker last summer. Eleven lbs. but even better my oldest friend came out and got his first laker…8 lbs. he was pretty excited. On Lake Ontario this spring I might get out and try to break 20 lbs!

you guys could save alot of time/ pain by rubber banding your reels. find your depth then put a small rubber band as a depth marker then strip about 40 ft . more put a larger band around the line and then the reel. reel up to your mark and your ready to fish. when the fish hits the band it sets it for you. if its bigger than 7-8lbs it will break the band but smaller it wont. use the thinner 2in bands. real fun and you aren't winding 100+ ft. of line all the time. tight lines!
