Hello, I just bought and installed the overhead gar door opener with camera….. my question is : can I buy a camera (like yours) and add to app (along with garage camera) to put in dining / living room area??
I totally destroyed the box opening the camera so need to be creative and try using it. Garage door alerts me when it opens so will screen shot and tell thieves to leave? I have Ring camera cloud storage??
I bought this at Costco yesterday and I regret it. It's not compatible with Alexa. I can't get the video feed on any other app. I can't integrate this with my smart home for a routine. Luckily, the garage door opener itself integrates with Ring, which I integrate with Alexa. As for the video...I'll just chalk it up as lesson learned - what happens when you assume everything integrates with Alexa. I will be buying a ring stick-up camera instead. I already ordered the magnetic base online on Amazon. I'm sorry, but I am not going to pay for a cloud subscription to a program that doesn't integrate with the rest of my smart home ecosystem. That's just too dumb.....
