Frank Zappa said he preferred record companies in the 60’s run by old fat business men smoking cigars, who didn’t have a clue about music, to the modern young executives who thought THEY knew what was “hip”. He said at least the old guys knew they knew nothing about the music so were prepared to take risks on new stuff…as long as it sold they didn’t interfere…unlike the new breed of record company execs who thought they knew more than the artists!!
becausebthe indistry is meant to trap rappers in a huge loan that you will never pay off and on top of that, you dont own your name, masters or your sound. once you flop, not only do you owe them all the money that they spent on you, now you gettin cut because you aint poppin no more. theyre gonna book the most expensive studio with the most expensive producer and get the most expensive videographer and its all coming out of your deal aka your loan

Easy top 10 rappers… and before y’all try to roast me… look up his greatest hits tape and decide for yourself. Him and Slim thug were BEASTS at freestyling and making a song their own
All of Scott Storches shit sounds the same. Play-N-Skillz were so gifted making beats especially when they sampled oldies stuff and threw some 808s on it.
