Great review. I picked up the Champion 201194, an 11,500 Watt dual fuel generator that I use to power my house, including a 3 ton HVAC. No issues thus far.

Thank you. The Champion brand generators are great products. You are going to power 3 Ton HVAC - NICE!

@ricksgarage-jf8pv I've ran the house with the HVAC. I have to cycle it so no HVAC and range, or hot water heater but lights, tv, computers all with no problem

Question, as it is a non enclosed generator, how loud is it ? Also is it floating neutral (needed for most home transfer switches) or is is bonded neutral (great for tools and non home backup solutions). Love Champion units....I own four

Sorry for the delay. It is about as loud as a gas lawnmower (engine + whirring blade). It drops to high idle with no load and speeds up when loaded. I looked up your question, and it does have a floating neutral. Thank you for the great question; I learned something by researching it. BTW - I just started mine after six months of sitting (with Stabil in tank). Took about 15 seconds of cranking on full choke and it roared to life. These are great products and am I good to go if we have a power outage.

@@ricksgarage-jf8pv Good that you picked up on the need for a floating neutral versus bonded. VERY important when you buy based on what you plan to use it for. Also, another tip if you don't already know. When putting away the generator, drain the carburetor float bowl completely empty to stop the gas going bad. It goes bad far quicker than the tank gas itself. Most new generators have a drain tube right on the bottom of the carburetor bowl. ...cheers.
