@@AZBCDEE Your clown levels are so high that you feel the need to cry over Alonso on a Formula E video when he was never mentionned by anyone. You are just clinically insane.
@@mikeburgess6153 I would have him over Stroll, Sargeant, K-Mag, Zhou, Bearman (Could be proven wrong about this next season), and Ricciardo. I'm a supporter of Zhou and Sargeant but there are more talented drivers out there like Wehrlein. I would say Perez but I think his abysmal performances are due to the Red Bull and his driving ability but I still think he can perform in a Mercedes-Powered car.
to me. there's something joyful, heartwarming and magical about former Virgin/Marussia/Manor drivers succeeding after that team went bust Congrats to Pascal!!!
Wehrlein, kind of the underdog, deserves it. First German 🇩🇪 driver to win the title. Jaguar blew it in the final race, again! Feeling so sorry, for the New Zealand duo 😢. Will be cheering for them again, next year. In short, this is Formula E drama for you! It is never decided until the finale or final round of races
What a fantastic season finale. The title would be in good hands with each one of the 3 contenders, but how Antonio and Pascal performed today, it was totally deserved that the titles are with Pascal and Porsche. Fantastic.
You mean to say that (in the best case) misjudging your braking point and causing a puncture that takes out one of your teammate's main opponents in the WDC, while simultaneously handing the WMC to your own manufacturer, is a good performance? As much as it was accidental, Antonio's poor judgment in this race unfortunately slightly tainted both titles.
@@matthijsdeboer9932this was Jaguars fault because they messed up the Attack Mode and team strategy. Otherwise, Cassidy wouldn't have been back there in the field at all. Even Cassidy himself knew who he had to blame for this misery on the radio. Not da Costa, but his team. The driver was more insightful than his fans, it seems to me.
@@florianj6490 You have mistaken me for a Cassidy/Jaguar fan. No harm done. Your logic is odd though. Cassidy being in whatever position due to strategy does not lay the blame at him for being a complete victim of another driver's mistake though.
@@matthijsdeboer9932 That's correct. But Cassidy himself does not blame da Costa for the lost title, but blamed the team on the radio for it, as you hopefully noticed yourself in the race. However, Daniel Abt, himself a long-time, successful Formula E driver, has summed it up correctly. Cassidy can't shift the blame onto the team. As a racing driver, you have to be aware of your situation in the race. Cassidy must have seen that Evans didn't open up a gap to secure the lead. Then why does he take the Attack Mode? Viewed in isolation, Antonio da Costa is responsible for the retirement. Absolutely right. But the loss of the world championship is a result of a multitude of mistakes, both by Cassidy, Evans and the Jaguar Team. And this has been a recurring theme within the Jaguar team management for a long time. With Sam Bird and Mitch Evans, the team management also failed to effectively control the team strategy. Now, the team and driver who have become world champions are the ones who executed a flawless race and overall did a better job throughout the season.
I’m so SOOO very happy for Pascal Wehrlein 🇩🇪🏆🇲🇺. Been a fan ever since he was in F1. Deserves to be a World Champion 🥇 Congratulations and it’s great to see him getting his Just Desserts‼️ Yay!
Been a Nissan fan ever since my first London E Prix back in Season 8. Was so stoked to see Ollie win it (even if it was under somewhat jammy circumstances)
I honestly think if he hadn't missed Portland he might have managed to win the drivers championship. Even if he'd had a better day yesterday he could have managed it. He's been a phenomenal force in the Nissan.
I've been following the series from season 1 race 1 and I have to say - the fact that Vergne has 2 titles is insane.. I know only one thing about next season - everything is possible! Congrats Pascal 🎉
That was one of tensest FE races ever…Jaguar’s dramas, the puncture for Cassidy, the safety cars, the finally crucial missed attack mode from Evans and finally, Wehrlein’s stealthy drive to clinch the title. Wow
Well done by Wehlein and Porsche ... Pascal is a thoroughly deserving Champion. He's a talented (and underrated) driver and a humble guy. It's good to see him succeed.
I'm feeling sad for Jaguar, second year in a row they finished 2-3 in drivers championship, but this time Wehrlein jumped them from 4th last year. This race was a disaster for them in terms of strategy and Cassidy unfortunate demise.
Jaguar should rethink its executives. They make so many mistakes that even with a superior package and two world champion drivers, you can't win the title against a weaker car with only one driver on an equal footing, but an almost flawless team leadership.
Jaguar disasterclass. Probably feel the worst for Cassidy, it just felt everything that could go wrong went wrong at the end of the season for him. Pascal did everything right though. Kept his head cool when Jag was wavering. Deserved champion.
Congratulations to Pascal Wehrlein 🇩🇪 of the TAG Heuer Porsche FE Team 🇩🇪 into become the 2024 FIA Formula E World Drivers Champion‼️🏆🖤❤️🤍🥳 Pascal Wehrlein's championship season review: • It's the 9th different driver to become FE champion and the 1st German to do it • 3 victories 🥇🥇🥇 #MexicoCityEPrix 🇲🇽 #MisanoEPrix 🇮🇹 Race 2 #LondonEPrix 🇬🇧 Race 1 • AVG Quali: 5.3 / AVG Finish: 5.9 • Only driver to win a race from Pole Position (#MexicoCityEPrix) • 1st two time winner • 2nd driver with most wins, just behind his teammate António Félix Da Costa with 4 victories • Finished the 16 races of the season and scored points in 14 of them, together with Jean-Eric Vergne the only ones who did it #FormulaE #99XElectric
why should he leave FE to go to a worse sport which is F1??? have you seen F1 2026 regulations? its a joke. meanwhile FE Gen 3 evo will activate AWD and in 2026 gen 4 is gonna get a further boost in power. 600kilowatts vs 350 they have now
What a finale! I was expecting it to be good with the 3 contenders all starting near the front but the way it all unfolded was stranger than fiction in a great way. Pascal was super sharp this weekend and I agree he's a deserving champion who has been underrated most of his career. I would've liked to see how Cassidy would've fared without the puncture. Is it harsh for me to say I'm glad Evans didn't pull it off? Cassidy really did play the team game all season and kept demonstrating he's got the most mental capacity of any FE driver to understand the races, whereas Mitch lacked some grace and that edge of strategy nous, despite being quick.
Jaguar is literally becoming the Ferrari of FE and Evans the Leclerc. Stragetic chaos and in the most important moment he cracks under pressure and missed the most important attack mode of the season maybe his whole FE Career
1. You are MASSIVELY underrating Leclerc 2. The attack mode miss is way less incredible than Cassidy's spin in Portland 3. At least Ferrari are the most successful team in F1
I think the team that has two challengers in a close fight with another lone driver for another team has a huge disadvantage because of how attack mode works. Unless you specifically say the leader gets preference, as you would in an F1 race with pit-stops for example, you’ll get this tactical mess; which will always play to the favour of the driver of the other team. And then you combine that with bad luck today for Nick and a missed attack mode for Evans, and we got what we got. But it’s about the whole season, and Pascal deserves it. Hope one of the Jag drivers get it next year though.
Evans and Cassidy both threw away it by their own mistakes. Cassidy lost a victory by spinning out in the penultimate lap in Portland and costed him the title.
WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I was so sure that Cassidy would be the champion going into Portland, and I had almost this magnitude of a reaction then, but I simply could not believe that Porsche would win the world title, especially not Wehrlein.
History is written in London again! Rowland becoming the 4th British fellow to win at home - James Barkley now officially the Toto Wolff of formula e - Dac attack unfortunately hitting Cas rear right wasn't expected, Dennis nightmare at home, Mitch problems with the attack mode so Wehrlein took the opportunity and send it like Götze back in 2014 at the world cup finale - the anniversary season get a new champ and it's a record the perfect match sit the youngest DTM champ in a Porsche and becoming formula e champion 2 years later crazy improvement finally Germany has an formula e champ at last 🏁⚡🤩🎉🍾🏆🤯😱❤️🤙🇩🇪 Seriously Jaguar had a triple in their hands and Dac man + Wehrlein take 2 of them outstanding finish! Next season definitely an jaguar driver to become new champ
Two years in a row, Cassidy was left to basically fend for himself and lost a title because the team he was on didn't seem to realize they were fighting for a WDC. Also, Max Gunther's wing flying off like that was lucky enough to have a fence there. That exact scenario is why Race Control needs to be more aggressive with broken front wings. I think that's the closest we've been to having a disaster with a front wing.
Big congrats to Wehrlein! Also, sorry for my ignorance but I'm new to motor sports and am wondering about this track. it looks strange to me, like a parking house or something. What is this place usually used for?
It's the ExCel centre in London, usually a convention or exhibition centre. This track is pretty unique in that it's mixed indoor/outdoor, which you can only really do with electric racecars!
Jags absolutely throwing away Cassidy's massive championship lead, not giving him any support or info mid-race and prioritizing Evans. Absolutely deserved that they don't win the driver's championship
heartbreaking for Cassidy. yes, his mistake in Portland decided it, but really here through no fault of his own got taken out. His race was also ruined from behind in 2nd race Portland . He had such a big points advantage and simply everything went wrong for him from a certain point, and after such a magic qualy lap in Q2 here. Really dramatic what happened with him, I thought he fully deserved it. Wehrlein was nowhere for big part of the season, but did it when it mattered... I think Nick will be coming back very strong next seasons, and will dominate. That's what happens when great drivers miss narrowly titles...
Big fan of Wehrlein for years, but this for sure wasn't the way i wanted him to win. Lets hope season 11 he takes a clean title without "small acidents"
Congrats to Wehrlein for the title. And thank you Da Costa for the help during the race (it would've been nice to say it during the post-race interview but ok).
Is it just me or is this the most talent packed group in racing right now? You could argue that the top drivers in F1 are the best, but the quality of this grid, top to bottom is just nuts. What a great season to watch. 10/10.
Yeah it's definitely up there. I still think F1 is the best but like to put FE just behind it. Just so many talented guys up and down the grid. Indycar is also close but it suffers from having a bit too many pay drivers.
Pascal Wherlein deserved to be a champion! Jaguar doesnt have team manager of Tom Walkinshaw caliber, Jaguar messed up. London circuit is too narrow for Formula E cars in some places, Formula E should ditch street circuits and go to normal circuits. If Formula E should be takne more, it should do more to avoid close contacts on turns that make 2 cars going almost impossible, by racing to a wider race circuits, that is big minus for Formula E.
