Now that I’m looking at this again for the first time in like 6 years this is like fencing more than anything there will always be a strong love for point sparring in my heart these guys are great
They called this martial arts black belts sloppy martial arts a real martial artist will kick their ass somebody like Benny the jet, Chuck Norris, Thomas la puppet, Bob lyles, Joe Lewis ECT... Embarrassing to watch what a bunch of clowns a disgrace to the martial arts off of money....
I don't get point fighting like this...with his leg in the air that long it could easily be grabbed and your opponent has you...I would consider that as putting yourself in danger
It would be dangerous to grab their leg because that means both their hands are off guard and the other person could turn into a back kick and easily win a point. Also it’s a sport.
Don't think of it like that shade. Take away from the guys who crossed over to combat sports. Raymond Daniels is your guy if you wanna see this working against trained fighters
@@vulgurs5380 He means move off to the side and avoid the line of kicking, but that's no guarantee, since we saw how quick he was to counter with punches when he moved on on him.
I'M sure they are excellent athlete but they are not prepared for a real hand to hand combat . I don't see good balance or good finishing of the technic .
Traditionally, point sparring is practiced to develop speed, distance management, movement and timing. Professional MMA fighters such as Raymond Daniels and Michael Venom Page are so dangerous due to their background in point fighting, incredibly unpredictable, quick and accurate. It grew into its own sport like this video, but it has a lot of value in fighting.
obviously you're no point fighter, he's reaching with the punches because thats the point, it's not boxing, stop spreading shit u dont know nothing about
@@bobbyshmurda4971 I wonder if the only time you get any exercise is when you jump to a conclusion about people. for your info I'm 60 yrs old have taken karate si center age 11 and have completed in numerous POINT FIGHTING tournaments like this in my twenties and thirties. So YES I DO know quite a bit about point fighting. Not only that but I also competed I. light contact and full contact co.mpetitions and also full contact and point fighting Arnis stick fighting tournaments. But of course you had NO WAY of knowing this yet you felt that you could confidently type that I didn't know what I was talking about??? How do you come to a ridiculous definitive conclusion like that based on ONE small comment that a total stranger makes? Even if I had ZERO experience in point fighting, don't I still have the right to post my opinion and give my analysis based on my opinion?? we all do this way Hong basketball games football games boxing matches etc having NEVER competed in those sports. I'm taking a long time to say that you need to stop being unnecessarily rude to people.
@@bobbyshmurda4971 my sensei told us to NEVER reach with our punches even if you're point fighting it's a terrible habit as you leave your upper body open you throw your balance off and you can't get your weight behind a punch. furthermore you'll be counterpunchrd easily by your opponent. Reaching is one of the first things a competent coach will teach you not to do in fight sports it's a classic beginners mistake
First off, point fighting 30-40 years ago is not what point fighting is now. Second, yes of course everyone has a right to post their opinion, Im using my right to post my opinion that you're pointing out that he's reaching is incorrect. Reaching in UFC or Boxing is a beginners mistake, reaching in this sport is everything. back THIRTY TO FORTY YEARS ago, there was no such thing as a blitz, times have changed. The future is now old man
Xandrix Suarez Cortez This is just sport karate which isn’t really practical by itself in self defense. You should research more about traditional karate; real fighting.
@@parkerlester26 Exactly and their ability to gage distance, accuracy and timing once they're able to adjust it, makes some of them not all, dangerous.
