I believe that if Chance released something like this at a different point in history, where the world doesn't feel like it's falling apart around us, people might be more receptive. Right now? we are reeling from two mass shootings hours apart from each other (another dozen were stopped before the shooting commenced), an uncertain economy, an absolutely brain-dead president, amongst a litany of other large-scale socio-economic issues. Chance loving his wife just sounds like he's living in total bliss, and utterly indifferent of what's going on outside his marriage...

I met chance in Chicago last year and he’s soooooo nice and a gentleman. He been my favorite rapper for a long time now. Not just cause of his music, but his energy is so beautiful, and he’s not afraid to be his self. I love me some Chance. I've been listening to him since Acid Rap came out. He's grown and come such a long way since then. I love his maturity and level of intellect. To be just 26 years old he has so much wisdom and dropped so many gems in this interview. I think he's a great example/role model for this generation. I like that he's always stayed true to who he is and doesn't try to act like someone he’s not. His raps are honest and they are the perfect representation of who he really is in and outside of hip-hop.
