I can't believe they did stuff like actually walk on the coral reef. (It kills it) and the chef pulled coral from the ocean along with a slug for a center piece. You are not supposed to touch the coral Even if your fin scrapes it then that pieces dies. We are losing our reef at an unbelievable speed around the globe. Some respect for our coral reefs please.
He knew better than to place her near the slippery walkway. He clearly knew it was slick. He should have warned her and placed her in the sand away from it, just like Ashton did. Chandler was a lazy air head.
I DO think that at times she needs to dial back her harshness. I think she would get good performance from her coworkers and avoid creating such animosity with so many of them.
I don't think so. Lol Ben criticized her and everyone agrees he's got his A game going on. Kate does need to stop with the unprofessional demeanor i.e. sassiness and quips. That's just not the right approach at work especially in a leadership role. Another time and another place for all that.
Chandler definitely didn't drop the guest but common sense would tell you when you have slipped on the concrete yourself, you would at least warn the guest that it is slippery or guide her to stay on the sand.
Kate, Captain Lee & Josiah are my faves. I think this is the best season of Below Deck yet. The location, the drama, not too much of a focus on boat romances... etc.
@@minx2528 I wish they would switch Kate and Hannah. Hannah is SO LAZY and Captain Sandy doesn't deserve a first stew with a poor work ethic and bad attitude. I would like to see how Sandy's boat could operate with a real first stew.

Chandlers dad must be soooo proud hehe, Chandler likes to mirror his dads work style which doesn't reflect good on his dad as a captain. And he managed to score Jamee from season 5 OMG well shes gotta lot of work ahead of her chandler is just high matinance!!!!
also the casting this season is the best so far in any show on bravo in my opinion again, works so well for controversy and drama but also frienship and respect. love it
Rylee made mistakes like all of us in the REAL LIFE,and she tried to ask questions and was put down. PEOPLE...ASK QUESTIONS...otherwise you'll be asked, "Why didn't you say anything?"
yes but she is abrasive when she asks her question. Chandler wasn't helping the situation in any way either and is way more to blame. I couldn't work with him, I think I could with Rylee though. I've had people like her under me and we worked well together.
Brittney B. Williams , Yessss this two definitely including the chef... The other young lady had too personal issues on her plate to deal with. OMG and the other young lady (deck hand crew) she wanted to be in charge so bad that she could not take directions from anyone.

Definitely the most funny part about this is when his friends try to back him up being like he didn't do this intentionally and they show the past clips of him doing it good and failing.

she was the one who took the step on cement. she was first standing on sand and seeing she was in position ok and after he let go she steps on the cement. I think his issue is just organization and communication
This is so funny. "Are you ok? You are wearing one shoe!" Seem like Chandler should not be hired. He couldn't arrange the schedule and got incident that hurt the kid. Ashton and Ross are better as leader
I don't think Chandler is a control freak. Control freaks usually tell you exactly what they want you to do. He never wanted to communicate anything, no leadership skills because he was too busy trying to CYA. And Caroline has problems, even the guests saw it.
Love Kate and Josiah but the broken glass was Caroline’s fault not Chandler’s. Caroline should have gotten the glass up or had one of the deckhands on board (Chandler or Rhylee) get the glass up instead of continuing to pour champagne that never got served to the guest because Caroline was retching from the sight of blood. It’s not Chandler’s fault that Caroline is incompetent at her job just like he is.
I hear what you're saying, but I think Kate was saying that, had Chandler handled the crew's return to the boat better, there would have been another stew on board to get the drinks, which means it wouldn't have been on Caroline, and the glass would never have been dropped in the first place. But yeah, neither one did a great job this episode.
Lisa Melroy true but this isn’t Caroline’s first time as a stew; she’s worked charters where she’s been the only stew on board. Caroline should be able to pour champagne and hold a tray without dropping it and getting flustered. For me, it goes back to Caroline’s inability to do her job.

Talie Holgate , I 💯 agree with you. This season of Blow Deck is amazing 😉 from the Chef 👨🍳 Captain 👨✈️ Lee, 👩🦳Kate & 👨Joshia!!! Chandler worked my last nerve this season along with the second hand female captain/ fisher lady 🤦🏾♀️ and the interior female Lord she had to much going on. She couldn’t pull it together 🤷🏽♀️. Captain Lee,and Kate, really had a dream team with the chef and Joshia! Thank God 🙏🏾 they were on the boat on the boat ....
Kate, Josia and Laura were the best steward team by far. Kate and Laura had a rocky start but towards the end they all worked hard and smoothy. I hope this whole cast returns next season.
I'd love rhylee to be on my team in a street fight!! She's spunky and I loved how she stood up for herself at times but she did go too far many times!!
Chandler did not drop that guest. Even Captain Lee said she fell & Chandler did not drop her. If you play it at slower speed, you can see she stumbled. And the sound effects were added by Bravo.

Chandler should have been fired before the client slip on the rock, but to be fair to him he actually placed her on the sand next to rock and she stepped over to her right into the rock.

See everybody that hates on k she uses sarcasm as a sense of humor and I relate to that.I've heard crewmembers that criticized her own camera is saying she's funny and witty and she always tries to lighten the mood. But on the show they hate on her.
I gotta say, from the video, Chandler placed the woman on the sand! Both of her feet were in the sand and she immediately stepped onto the concrete and slipped! He did not put her down on that concrete slab. He should have warned her that it was slippery but he did not drop her or cause her to fall.

This TV series has turned me off from wanting a superyacht and having a crew knowing that this could go on. I like a controlled environment and don't have time for conflicting personalities, insubordinate characteristics, and crew members who lack showmanship under reasonable pressure. It's bad enough that rich people act like 4-year-olds most of the time.
Well keep in mind that it’s also a “reality” tv show and so they’ll dramatizing things and stuff because that’s what get more views. Even the shows that claim to be “authentic”will still do things like editing footage so certain moments are made slightly more dramatic on both the guest and employee side. The producers manipulating situations and the reality tv stars like by instigating conflicts between them when the cameras are off. I wouldn’t be surprised if they instigate shit with the below deck crew ESPECIALLY when they’re drunk. And no doubt the show pays for all their drinks and stuff when they’re able to party so that they go hard so maybe they can get a fight or hooking up. And when they’re drunk just casually be all like “it’s so disrespectful & messed up how X is treating u, acting like they’re better than u”. It also should be noted that the producers decides who is eligible to come onboard, expect for stuff like the captain and engineer. Captain Lee has accused the network in the past of selecting people who are inept when it comes to this type of work, thus shading the realism of who’s really qualified when watching the series. If everyone they hired were professionals and good at their jobs then there would be less problems and so less drama.

Chandler should have told the guest that the cement was slippery instead of watching her get on it. Kate said they had been there earlier and she told Chandler it was slippery.
Technically Chandler put her down on the sand and then she went onto the concrete slab herself and slipped so that was on her but he could have warned her about the slippery spot
The big Australia, Ashton I think his name is. Is very mature and level headed. He can read people and their actions as well as the Captain can. He can have a great future as a Captain or any Job he set his mind to,. Expecially with the correct mentors in his life. The others will not move up in life, maybe sideways, but they have reached the limit of their capabilities. They will say " I don't want another job, I like my job", , but in reality their not smart enough to climb the ladder of success Ashton can. .

I'm a Kiwi. New Zealand has a special connection with South Africa by way of a shared love of rugby. Pienaar is well known Afrikaner and rugby surname. Not sure what Afrikaner means but it's the name by which the Dutchmen/Afrikaner call themselves. We Kiwis respect the Afrikaner for their rugby skills and absolute 'disregard for self preservation and safety' in how they play the game. Ashton's representing South Africa and the Afrikan community very well. Smart, laid back, intelligent and very socially aware. A bit of a cunning schemer though in the romance department, lol....

Of Course being Canadian its hockey, baseball, and football. Although when I was a kid girls didn't play hockey, we played broomball. It was a girls game where we ran on the ice in our winter boots. ( not that easy to do ) With what looked like, one of the old type of straw booms, with the straw cut off and we covered them with one of our dads old big wool socks. After that it was a bit like hockey rules but we used a ball that was smaller than a basketball. It was actually a lot of fun. I have seen a few documentaries on New Zealand, what a absolelutely beautiful place. One odd thing I heard, was you have a bird that likes eating windshield wipers off of cars is that true?. And I do have to say that the haka dance is super sexy, to us Canadian Women. Well at least this one. ............... And yes Ashton seems very level headed except where Women are concerned...Smile... Perhaps that's his age? But I have no idea how old he is. Thank you again....Stay cool down there.

He said the Canucks have much in common with Kiwis. Humble, courteous but tough as hell. He reckons Canada's winters make New Zealand's look like summer. About the bird; it's called the Kakapo, which is a Maori name. The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand. It's a type of parrot. Very clever, cheeky and yeah it's quite the distructive bird. It's equally loved and hated by Kiwis (those who's cars get damaged by it), in general. The haka is a Maori war dance, traditionally meant to psyche up the warriors before battle. I reckon Maori share a lot in common with indigenous Canadians (and Americans, for that matter). The nation's sports teams e.g. All Blacks (rugby), Tall Blacks (basketball) do the haka before each game. Sometimes they do a really good haka then get walloped in the game. You have a good one.
