Changchun City like you've never seen before | Travels in Northeastern China (2023) | 吉林省，长春市 | 东北之旅 

My favorite Chinese city, was living there for half year, and I liked it so much that I went back for another whole year. Changchun is pretty calm for a Chinese city (except for the traffic) and doesn't feel crowded. Streets are clean, buildings feel new. Trees have been planted everywhere. It's sorrounded by green fields. Some km south it's full of lush forests. End of summer and fall have beautiful partly cloudy blue skies with strong winds. I think it's the best time of the year to walk around and get to know it. Winter in changchun 🥲is amazing. I can still remember the frozen ponds of water everywhere. Buildings with tents covering the doors to avoid the cold getting in. My frozen glasses. The light snow falling. Night at 4 pm. Taking the high speed train to Harbin. Wish I could go back sometime.

I have traveled to several Chinese cities, Changchun is my no.1. Because unlike many other Chinese cities, Changchun has fewer skyscrapers (don't know why). So the view in Changchun is very broad with the high and blue sky. Furthermore, Changchun has a nice weather, especially cool and sunny summer. Most important, most of Chinese people are relatively shy and intro, but I was told that northeastern Chinese are outgoing and welcoming. After traveling there, I am sure they are😊

Nice to see you riding

I studied in Jilin University Changchun for one term, it's a cool city cheaper than let's say Beijing or Shanghai. The only downside is that it looks too industrial which makes it look bland and boring and it doesn't take too long too see everything there. Did you ever go to see the puppet Manchurian palace? Its a must see.
