This video helped more than any other The key for me was to familiarize myself with the bolt as well as the mechanism holding the wire on so that I can do it without having to see it. My arms are pretty slim so I was able to put both arms in and squeeze the clamp to pull off the wire. After that I put the socket in.. then put the socket wrench in after and connected it to the socket already ready to to be loosened up. With some patients I was able to get this done in about 45 minutes. If I had to do it again it would take me less than 10. I'm definitely no mechanic and I got very little experience working under the hood but this year was the year I decided if anything goes wrong with my car I'm doing it myself and this is just another achievement for me. If I could do it you guys can too 💪🏿
@@tmacfan824I actually found it much easier than folks made it sound… but, yes, this job blows. I searched all over, can you post the ones you found to be better?
to re-install, get a thin, clear rubber hose from home depot and slide it over the plastic switch. Make sure it's a snug fit. I fed it in from the bottom, right in front of the radiator fan. Spin the hose until the threads start and pop off the hose. I was able to tighten it from the top with a ratchet, an extension, 2 swivels, and a 13/16 deep socket. Made it a million times easier, but it's a pain in the ass no matter what. Also try fitting a small piece of the hose over a ratchet extension and the other end over the switch and guide it in that way. Good luck!!
I got the oil pressure light 3 times apart in 7 months.. 2 time the engine stop by it self.. The third time it idle to a point the car would not move foward. I turn the engine off, waited few minutes, start the engine an went home. Am hoping it is just the oil pressure sensor.
