I am 52 and I started at 46 claiming in the name of Jesus to live well over 100 in great health and spirits. So I am taking great care of my mind, body and spirit. The thing is people don't think that they will live a long life. But God says with long life HE will satisfy me. And so I claim it. Everyday I get stronger and wiser. Eating well, water, praying, fasting, reading, nature and exercise. You can''t just claim it. You have to take action as well.
yes. Every single Christian 85 and up to 105 that I am well-acquainted with does not just pray & claim it, they work on disciplining their body - activity, daily diligent & appropriate exercise, mostly plant-based diets and none overweight. Our bodies are fearfully & wonderfully made and we should take care of the gift God has given us.

In my humble opinion, we can learn so much from our senior citizens. They are like living books of knowledge, experience and wisdom. They are no doubt an intricate part of this well oil machine we call life.

If more older people were like these tremendous women and men, think how many more original contributions could be made to our world. Great works of art, intellectual contributions and scientific inventions. Imagine all the genius that is forever lost because aging people fall in the "you're too damn old to be counted as worthy" trap sat by society. You got to give these people 100% credit for being strong and independent enough to not be affected by" global ageism." God bless them all
@tau ceti Too right dearly beloved! Age and retirement is a LIE! The ruling classes have created these brutalities to get rid of people. They themselves NEVER retire and thus extend their lives by giving it purpose and quality. The Queen of England is one such. 92 and still going out in public and being gaped at whilst most people her age have long been consigned and condemned to the retirement heap and ended up demented and living in care homes. Have you noticed that most CEO of multi billion companies are old men in their 80s? Very cruel to ordinary people to kick them out of work in their 60s. I love that you are a believer. Believers should be the first to be against ageism because we believe in the One who is the ANCIENT OF THE DAYS so should exalt and revere getting old. God richly bless.
@Michael Langley I think that is the secret of a long life. To look way younger than your real age. They say animal food ages people and that a plant based diet is slow ageing.
I love elderly people. I think they have a great sense of humor!! I am sooo happy to hear and see them in their right mind. They don't look over 100 at all!! I pray I'm in great health if I live to see their age. I am my mom's caregiver so I want to learn and understand elderly people as much as possible. I am currently taking a Genotology class and this is hands down my favorite course!!
The woman with the green necklace is on to something. If you want to gain wisdom, you must conduct an autopsy on things in your life that went bad , and ask yourself what part you played in it. Personally, I have never made a mistake in my life. However, I have made a lot of decisions, some of which didn't work out too well. But if I reverse engineer, and figure out how it went wrong and my my part in it, then I have a chance of gaining some insight and wisdom. There is nothing wrong with having a bad outcome, unless you fail to take the lesson from it. I had a therapist tell me one time, most people go cradle to grave, and never learn a thing. Absolutely true.

But, i see young people today who struggle way more than these elders. I started praying as well as listening to these wise centenerians. I think it's simple if you practice. It is a practice. I want begin to live like this now. Why wait to be one hundred to have this peace of mind. Losing Humanity;-)
Do not use drugs, drinks or become a sex addict. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Be generous to non beggars. You must always continue to educate yourself on whatever you want to learn, and share your searches online. Never kill anyone or argue, but do protect yourselves by any means necessary
