That’s up to you, might of missed things like fov effecting ads zoom, foliage giving you an advantage with a certain setting. But just making the video for people who keep asking me on stream and videos
I heard 4070ts and was like ah I just got one of these. What settings you got. The Fov was interesting. I run 55 because the center eye relief is better and see more of what you are aiming at
I've always ran windowed fullscreen/borderless regardless, ive never seen enough input lag that it bothered me, but i have dual monitors and swap in and out and that smoothness is important to me
if you're having crashing issues with FSR, turn off hardware acceleration on windows settings. I would crash every other run just flying in the on LZ.. I no long crash since i've turned off hardware acceleration.

@@ryanwilson5842 Yep could of been but I have also done and tried that and get then also negative responses saying " You don't explain why I should do this, You are just copying people and telling them to change settings that you don't know" EIther way, there will be someone who doesn't like the way I make a video and I am fine with that. Thats the great thing about youtube, you can just go watch someone else and if are looking for less less info on why you are changing a setting in a game.

Appreciate it man, At the moment not playing Gray Zone since we now have completed the game nearly 3 times. So waiting on a new big update. Had a break for the last month from content/streaming but back once Delta Force comes out in a few weeks to do a playthrough of that. I have a Ryzen 5700x CPU and a 5700XT GPU (2070 TI equivalent I believe). I built the system in 2017 and have upgraded over the years, but it's still low-mid compared to todays. I cap at 30fps then turn frame gen on to give me a solid 60fps. Most games I play at 144fps (bc that's my monitors refresh rate) but I was trying to get it to run smoother. I keep most things on Low, except textures. Also, for AA, I run FSR Quality. But I was having trouble seeing through chain link fences and noticed if I turn it on Natural AA the fences look better, but everything else takes a small hit
Really good in depth guide man, good job! I would also add here that people should try to use Fullscreen if they feel that the game stutters even at high fps. I have 4070ti and windows 11 as well but for me I had around 100fps but the game felt like it was stuck in the 30 fps (tabbed out max) as soon as I changed to Fullscreen it came back to the full 100 fps :) just a note to people that have this issue as well :)

And nope isn’t a potato pc is an i712900k liquid cooled with dual channel 32gb of ddr4 with a NVIDIA rtx 3080ti 12gb vram edition
For me the game starts at 80 fps. By time I’m in city for 5-10 minutes it’s goes down to 40 and stays there until I restart. Feels like a memory leak, anyone have any ideas
Maybe, could also be AI dead bodies and the server spawning them in at places. See what cpu usage you are at before going in there and see what it’s like after
The background fps mean that when your in the UI you can see the game world, that is frame caped at 30, NOT when you alt tab, that's not what that means. And no there is no special setting for streamers, your not that special.
Actually it is for when you switch to other windows, it’s a very common setting added to quite a few FPS games to save gamers resources when the game isn’t in focus. It’s also not a special setting for streamers and I didn’t say anything about the fact I’m special. I’m just stating why I put mine to 60fps instead of 30 which would be better for most people.
The 1x on the spectre is still "zoomed out" at 60. If i had to guess, because it's a zoom optic IRL, the curved nature of the lens makes the FoV of the sight slightly higher at 1x than a flat optic due to how the light is captured through that lens. Not claiming to be an expert, just an attempt at using my basic understanding of physics to explain why the 1x on the Spectre behaves like that
@SiNisterFPS that makes sense if my guess is correct since the curvature of the lens would likely be percieved differently as the zoom increases. The best comparison i can make is a zoom lens on a camera where the image will distort in the center as the FoV widens. I can only assume that firearms optics are different for a number of reasons... but this is all i could surmise from my limited understanding and experience with them
@@HobbyistPCsyou are 100% correct. I have a couple of LPVO optics on my real rifles and the “1x” level of magnification does have some slight alteration. Part of this is due to parallax and the other is exactly due to what you mentioned - the size and shape of the lenses.
It's better to reduce the contrast to see better in darker areas. And then increase gamma more then brightness to avoid the sun lighted areas to be to bright
That really helped even if I'm running a 7900xtx. Have you tried using Lossless Scaling on Steam? I have everything set to epic and I run the game at 1920x1080. Then I use the lossless program to scale it to 1440p. I don't dip below 90 frames.
Lossless wtf? Just use the AMD adrenalin Driver 🥲its so easy. AMD cards need no third party bullshit programs like nvidia to be fine tuned (looking at you MSI afterburner)
Lagging isn't a system issue, its a server issue. Try joining a different region, one of my suggestions at the end is about joining a different region to counter the stutters and lag. I play on US east, even though I am UK

Hi Sin..Im in UK but play US East its been brilliant, I also find the player base more helpful too, always seem to be helpful and far less toxic if im being honest.
I notice that too with my amd card with fsr qnd latancy. Then i remember in the addernilan softerware for the game i can turn in anti-lag and it fixed it.
It's not meant to improve your game its just what works for him. And others with similar rigs. Just tweak setting to find what works for you. Game still looks quite good on low-med with FSR for older cards. I was getting 70-80 on my 3060 with 3600AMD

Hard really to do unless I can test and see things like cpu usage, GPU usages, fps differences when changing the settings. This is why I say at least having the fps counter up and if you have a second screen, have task manager up with showing cpu and GPU usage etc. It’s then a matter of just putting everything to low, I would select then fsr with frame generation on. Then restart game and see what your fps is. Then it’s basically adjusting firstly foliage to epic and seeing if any change in fps and then just going from there. I would 100% recommend keeping textures to low
16 gigs isn't really going to cut it imo, I regularly see my ram usage go up to and beyond 20gigs while playing this game. Cpu wise u are good Gpu is ok but probably the next thing you need to upgrade after your ram
I have lower hardware than you overall Ryzen 7 5700x AMD 5700XT GPU (2070Ti equivalent) 24GB RAM I capped at 30 fps and turned on frame gen for 60fps solid. I like that better than bouncing between 80-50 fps and hitting the max on my system more often. I'm still pushing CPU/GPU at 90+% most the time, but the gameplay itself feels smoother with less stutters or big FPS changes. The only thing I'm messing with now is Quality AA vs Native AA. Native AA makes the chain link fences and things easier to see through. Quality looks better overall, but you really can't see through chain link fences unless sitting completely still, which has got me killed several times.
Thank you....well explained. My weakest component is a 3060 and find TSR my best option getting 80-90fps. As for Oceana servers (I'm in Australia) I think there must only be 1 (often 16th in q) so go s/e asia. I'm sure this will improve. Cheers.
SEA is what I use they are a little more stable. Still some server crashes but definitely more stable. Don't knock the 3060 I just upgraded from one of these and I was impressed on how well it handled.
@@REZZILIENCE what CPU you have and what GPU did you upgrade to, I currently have 3060Ti and 5800x and the game runs fine 100-110fps and I’m good but I do plan to upgrade in the future, I am just not that knowledgeable on PC I built mine 2 years ago
@yksanta8997 5700x now with 4070ts. I had the 3600x. Not much of an upgrade, just getting the GPU running (especially with this game) eats CPUs. Didn't have a huge budget for CPU especially seeing as it was an oversight. If I had a bigger budget I would have moved to an AM5 Mobo/CPU and DDR5. Just didn't have an extra 1k for the next step.

You should have frame gen on FSR and you will only be able to use Nvidia Frame gen if you have a 40 series card and enabled HAGs. All where explained in the video
@@SiNisterFPS its a 3080ti and yea i did. its only happens when i turn post processing to low. It flashes these pale green and red lines that are vertical every now and then. I hope my gpu aint takin a dump. only does it in this game. Its a EVGA so im not gettin a replacement lol
A bit of a long shot here but it could possibly be frame generation with maybe some settings in your NVIDIA control panel. Frame Gen can cause alot of stuff to look whacky.

@@soy22100 play around with the aa/upscaling, maybe try fsr with native resolution and frame gen and see what performance you get and if it looks clearer as that shouldn’t use any kind of blur and you can use the sharpen to make it even more sharper
@@SiNisterFPS well i can barely get 90 on 3080 with FSR cuz DLSS gives me nothing, frame generation is only one thing which save me in this game, sadly i dont have this from DLSS cuz no 40xx Maybe im gonna change go AMD/Radeon team in my new PC cuz nvidia starting to piss me off. I hope devs gonna improve optimization...
@SiNisterFPS I swear if level 3 dousnt give us m81 rounds for m700 I'm filing a complaint. Cuz Mosin gets it's best round 7n1 at level 2 and m700 at least where I am is stuck with that shifty m80 round
Doesn’t matter what settings you use if you don’t have a 40 series card your game is going to look and run like shit. Fsr @1080p =a blurry mess with massive fps gains and long range scopes feel awful and Dlss=40 fps looks better but your playing a 40-50 fps and 30 when scoped in. Makes PvP trash. Time to move on till they figure it out.
That’s completely up to you, move on for now if it’s not working out for you. For me, been having blast and enjoying it. I made this video simply because people asked for it quite a few times
