I did it! I asked to Spectrum to take my device (Cell Phone where you are going to do all process) only having 2.4Ghz during 1 hour. They disconnect your device from 5Ghz and you're only able to connect 2.4 GHz.

check with your ISP. It could be a problem from their side.

Did you connect your computer/laptop to your modem via an Ethernet cable and typed " 192.168.0.1 " into your browser's address bar?

those are usually printed on the sticker that is on the router itself. default combination 99% of the time is admin/admin unless someone changed it

On android smartphone, you can simply open WiFi settings and navigate to your Router settings, which will show an option "Manage Router". Or just do what I had shown in video, with cmd on your system.

Your router should support 5GHz band.

Try changing the SSID ;-;

You need a gateway address. (Which you can find through some sites online) settings should be available then.

A single connection can't be both 2.4 & 5 GHz. Look it up again, you might have missed something.

@@adityamittal7105 yaa like the seperate band problem was solved after I changed the name of SSID and had different names of both 2.4 and 5ghz bands but the range problem didn't go I guess it was my router's issue.

Unfortunately, it can't be done. It's piece of hardware. 2.4GHz is also good, better in most cases.

@@Codephile I switched to 5ghz and now it's stuck and I need to connect to the WiFi to change it back BUT I CANT CONNECT TO THE WIFI

Recheck it. Try Username: Admin Password: Conf or access this website, you can find them corresponding to your router. www.pcwintech.com/default-router-modem-passwords2 If that doesn't work, someone in your family already changed. To reset it, follow this steps, this will reset your router to factory settings and you would be able to login with default ID, pass. Step 1 Turn off the router. Step 2 Press and hold the reset button on the rear panel with a pin, then turn on the router. (Do not release the reset button when you turn on the router and Please keep holding the button for about 6~10 seconds after turning on the router). Step 3 Release the reset button and wait for the device to reboot.

Contact your internet service provider. Probably someone changed it or the default one is different for your router
