Jerry curl is called soft curl permanent or curly perm. All of these products have the same active ingredients. Jerry was the name of the person who invented curly perm or soft curl permanent hence the reason it was called jerry curl.

Jheri curl, same process, had it done 30+ years ago, about 2hour long process, and you must use the oily moisturizer, but what bothered me is washing my natural hair finish in 20 min by adding styling gel only does the same to show my natural curls.

Think she should have gone with a bigger rod for a looser wave pattern but those small curls will eventually become loose after a few days once the moisturizer set in the curls nice job!

I had a wave nouveau for years and it grew my hair as long as I put it in. Then I had problems with my shoulders and others just didn't shampoo out all the chemicals and it broke off. In the top of your head chemicals and dyes will linger there.
The thio relaxer is safer than the lye relaxer in the sense that it is less harsh. However, both chemical are alkaline, thus can cause possible irritation to the scalp area.
