Hi. Short near sunset session and last night. Really cool to finally understand the minor adjustments that support good body techniques.
Thanks for the comment to try 87a and it was helpful. Loosened truck which I didn’t think would happen any more, but it led to my first ever confidence in carving downhill. Starting to understand angles to slow down or speed up.

🤙🏽🤟🏽🤙🏽 *Love venom bushings!* I use an Eliminator bushing shape boardside in the back truck for more stability. Freeride shape is also a good option as it can be flipped 2 ways for different ride feels.

Cool. I may have to try that. I struggle with tall and short bushings because I barely understand the set-ups, but will keep tinkering.

nice, now fully commit. 87/87 front, andf 95/95a rear. Make the wheelbase longer and watch as downhill becomes way easier

Thanks. Forgot about longer wheelbase-haha. 95a will be in on Tuesday. Thank you for the suggestion. 🙇🏻‍♂️

Those carves look very natural now. Still gotta try to keep your weight more on the front of the deck for those Colemans. Keep your planted hand closer and more inline with the front truck, and fold that rear knee down (to almost touch the deck), so your rear foot only makes contact to the board with only the medial side of the shoe. A larger stance helps to fold the rear knee down easier.

Thank you. Going to be practicing that today. Out here now setting up with rear trucks moved back 2 inches on Comet board. 🤙

@@cantskate5535 Morgans aren't the slidiest of wheels, tbh. They're pretty grippy for round-lipped wheels.

I kind of thought that, but didn’t think I knew better. Thanks for validating. Uh, session sucked, but worked through it…haha. Posting later - a lot of footage to edit.

When I set my board up I was 20 pounds heavier. I may need to look at changing my bushings to account for the weight loss. Guess I will find out next time I take a day for downhill.

Hopefully weight loss was by your choosing, which is good. I think you may. Muirskate has a body weight and suggested bushing-worth a gander. Good luck when you DH.

@@cantskate5535 absolutely by choice. Lightest I have been since 2005. I still have some power so we will see how the board reacts. I need to get out of the park and hit the hills. These trick battles keep getting me😂

@@AdventuresInSkateboarding that’s cool. To still have power and do your battles. I’ll bet on you’ll win over the trick.

Did you use barrel or cone shape for the bushings?

what trucks, cali3 44° or 50°?

44 front; same hangers front & rear (Cali 3, but rear base plate was 35 degree Randall (from sk8kings). If you get base plate, be sure to order longer king pin-I mistakenly ordered street TKP and it was short.

@@cantskate5535 cool ive been wondering about the Navigator Drone Trucks - 40 Degree - "The Drones feature a flip-able hanger that lets you change your baseplate angle from 36°(less turn, ideal for downhill) to 42°(more turn, ideal for free ride)." are you familiar with these by chance? id send a link for the site but my comments keep getting deleted when i do?
