So awesome and most appreciate Bailey @redkrimes72mm for taking time out to coach me in this first ever coach led training session.
Amazing what is learned when someone leads and demonstrates the movements. Still quite a long way to go, but stoked to get first one arm legit Coleman slide.
Next video soon: we went to a new training hill and got to meet his downhill crew. In awe of pure skill, but easy going, humble and friendly people that want to give advice to see you improve. Wicked. Indescribable excitement.
See you next video.

See you next video.

Hey Jon! I hope all is well & Happy Friday! Cool vid! Definitely bring your back foot off its sole & closer to the left inside of your foot when sliding rather than planted on the board. Try to get that right knee cap to rest against your left shin/calf too! Stay cool my friend! 🤙 Have a great weekend & hope to run into on the climbs one day!

Awesome and thanks for advice. Barely scratching the surface of true instinct and a long way to train. Definitely fun in learning.

Don't grab in between legs. Grab behind back leg. I'm surprised that guy didn't tell you

@@lightsinthenightssky7373 thanks and he did. I’m aware to stink bug 😆 I wasn’t confident in the beginning and was doing more desperate grab. Now that I’m starting to understand board mechanics - I’m not as nervous.

@@cantskate5535You're progressing fast, sir.

Wow! You're actually pre-carving into slides now! That's something you can't do properly with a setup that is too tight.

Yes, finally understanding pre-carve/set-up carve with proper truck tightness. Still a long way to go for smooth flow instinct & consistency, but can get it right a few times in a session. Getting more fun every time.

@@cantskate5535 I think you have to force yourself try to break/unlearn the habit of abruptly dropping down into a slide, which you have used to initiate slides on a setup that is too tight to carve properly. In fact, it is the only way to break out the wheels on a too-tight setup. However, it is quite unpredictable, as it can cause highsides/lowsides if you miss the right balance point. Slowly precarving into slides is much more progressive and therefore more reliable and safe - especially at speed. Have fun tho! You're doing awesome!
