Changing a tire machine to a track machine 

You lay the ratchet strap on the ground,then lay the track on it,so when you tighten the strap,you get the track compressed to the tires and not only pulled from the upper side. A clean rust free pin help for sure. I would have impact driven the pin,when twisting,the pin would self center better. They should give you a bullet nose nut to drive the pin in easy, or a tapered end pin ,it would self center.

Guys lower the tire pressure to get the tracks on. Then air up.

No dave that is not how tracks work you take the wheels Off and then you can put the tracks on

These tracks give the Skidsteer more traction.

Why not just deflate the tyres?
