Love the accumulating Trash Pile at 0:51. the Answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind, and . . . . . . . . . . . has been for decades Buy Only for NEEDS, . . . and not for "Wants"
I have been making my own cloths since the 50s and often redesign my own clothes…. I do not use PCTs because of allergies…..I also often use op shop finds mend them…I often embellish them with buttons, sequins, and a bedazzler machine etc…on my denim or jackets I uses badges a stick pins to embellish them…I find it satisfying and a sense of accomplishment when I make and mend..I do the same with household items…I’m big on “make do and mend”….and my bank accounts love it…..Now tie dye what a great way to get some out there patterns been doing that since the 70s.
How good, how good, how good….. Recycling, reusing, repurposing, mending - these are all things close to my heart. I recently spent some time at home with an injury, and during that time started mending a whole pile of clothing and fabrics. No I just love it. The satisfaction it brings! Teaching young people the truths behind fast fashion, those skills and that creative mindset is invaluable. I imagine that this school project has been a huge learning curve for those students…. Kudos to them, and above all to that teacher 🌿🙏🌿
