My mom found out Sept. 29, 2003 she had Stage 4 Stomach Cancer. She passed on Dec. 6, 2003. I very rarely hear of stomach cancer. Mr. Fred Rogers (one of my heros, besides my mother, that also showed love, kindness, and giving grace to all) passed of stomach cancer as well. Sounds like your mother was just as loving and kind! I was planning my wedding during that time. It was so hard to look towards the future and my wedding knowing my mom most likely wouldn't be there in person! We got married July 3, 2004. I believe she was there in spirit, blessing us! I had dated my husband 9 years before getting married (we were VERY young when we started out!). I knew I loved him then. But we have only grown closer as the years go on! It must have been so hard on him to help me navigate all the grief - and he still does! I thank God every day for blessing me with such a good man! We are celebrating 20 years married in July, five children, losing 2 parents, fertility problems, health scares, a lot of tears, love, and laughter later! Thank you for sharing your story!
