Additional information to note, the money changers now lower the exchange rates everyday after 15:00pm until 10:00 am the following morning this is due to the volatility in the currencies rates changing day to day while indonesian business hours are closed.
The rates fluctuate so much now at the moneychangers here in Bali. Also now since this video at 3pm everyday the moneychangers reduce the rate until 10:00 am the following day.
@@balibygary9718 Can we exchange money in banks? Banks offers competative rates? Please provide info if you have. We are in bali. Information will help
Thanks so much for your sincerity. It is greatly appreciated 👍 We will be staying at Ari Putri and wonder if you know where a genuine money changer may be close by please? Not stayed in Sanur before xx
Usually Bmc, Bhi, central kuta exchange and PT Dirgahayu valuta prima are pretty safe. ALWAYS COUNT YOUR MONEY WHEREVER YOU EXCHANGE. I once change Thai baht a very long time ago at PT Dirgahayu, but nobody advertises on the moneychanger boards for thai baht therefore I don't know if they exchange or not.
Also watch out at the money exchangers at the airport. I was given a damaged bill (corner of bill missing) which made the money worthless. She snicked it in amongst the other bills when I wasn't watching.
That was really useful information, thank you. Is it better to exchange cash or withdraw cash direct from an ATM using a citibank debit card. Are you making a video or credit card pitfalls.
Exchange cash is better as atm charges from your country bank and indonesian bank can be expensive for withdrawl. Most atm machines only have a maximum withdrawl of 2 million idr per transaction then you need to put your card in the machine and witdraw again thus adding more bank withdrawl charges. Best atm machine for maximum withdrawl is permata bank as they allow 3 million per transaction.
I got cheated at the airport from a worker at immigration.. first time internationally and that’s what I experienced unfortunately, be careful out there people.
You're welcome. Additional information also changed money before 14:00pm everyday monday-friday as the exchange rates drop after this time until around 10:00am the next day.
Street moneychangers are not open at that hour, I am not sure if the moneychangers at the airport are still open or not at 01:00am. There are atm machines located in the arrivals hall next to all of the moneychangers as you walk through the sliding doors. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g1RjJPUpKvU.html
@@balibygary9718 Thanks Gary. Money changers in the airport were open at around 1.30am. So were all the sim card stalls. Looked like all the essential shops were open as well.
You're welcome. Additional information now change money before 14pm monday to friday as the exchange rates are lowered everyday after 14-15pm until the next day at 10:00am.
if you live 10 years in Bali, what you think the prices? and extra taxes, and scambs, because local people dont have money to buy nothing, dont live ONLY survive.... euro value is better than dólar, have someting rong, dólar is more? na na🧐🧐🧐 Europa economi go down 😔😔
I live very comfortable here for a lot cheaper than I could live in the Uk. I do not live on the tourist side of the street and living here so long I know where to eat and get the best value for money. If you get away from the central tourist areas then bali becomes a lot cheaper, but i think this rule would apply to every country in the world.
@@balibygary9718 we can never compare the minimum wage in england with the minimum wage in portugal, the minimum wage in portugal is 700€ and it is a country by far better than bali without a doubt mainly the south and the islands of portugal, not to mention the quality of the fruit and the food on the beaches, security, you don't pay extra fees to dine out, you don't pay to go to the beaches or the waterfall, Bali is very shabby and the rupee is not worth anything so the prices for locals should be applied and not for tourists if you know what I mean, bali doesn't even have drinking water
@@Ryellefrench usually people use the money changers as it is quick and efficient, banks if they exchange money you will have long waits and the exchange rate will be the same as the moneychangers on the street. BMC, BHI, Central kuta exchange are all authorized moneychangers in bali. Avoid places with little white boards offering higher rates. ALWAYS COUNT YOUR MONEY WHEREVER YOU EXCHANGE.
money changers are available in all the popular tourist areas of Bali. ATMs & credit card usage have charges attached to them here in Bali from the bank in Bali and usually your home country bank.
