The changing of the guard ceremony outside the Greek Parliament building in Athens. The guards are called Evzones and are selected because of their height and physical shape. The tradition goes back hundreds of years.
This is pure magic! I haven't seen them in years but they are beautiful to watch! Lucky you that you got to see the elite force, of all the Evzones (only on Sundays). Their uniforms are the truest to the Ancients. I only got to see the Evzones during the week wearing the beige uniform. Nevertheless, they were magnificent! Thanks for your lovely video, it brought back beautiful memories of the most beautiful country on Earth.

It would be better if they looked like spartan warriors with ancient Greek looks everyone respects and knows that this just looks weird but I guess if u guys don't belive in paying debts then I guess u don't care about what people think
i respect your opion and in a way i think the same too about spartans but the uniforms of the Evzoni it has a great history and a symbolicaly meaning Since the liberation of 400 years of slavery by the Turks in 1821 And spartans are just great warriors which fight at Thermopyles 2500 years ago
