I've heard a lot of people say that by modern standard the first couple levels would be like, Hard. Fair enough but I don't want to entirely go off of modern standards bc modern Easy levels also have mad decoration to hide their lack of gameplay, if Stereo Madness was like that it would just be an empty level. It was a weird task to try refactoring them, but I was comparing them more to each other. Also I literally said at the start that the custom level scale is completely messed up compared to official levels
See the problem is, if we're going by standard level ratings, the early official levels have actual gameplay in them, so Back on Track would be like 5 stars Also I hope I'm not the only person who had to spend hundreds of attempts on mobile to beat each one of the earlier levels lmao
I'd rework the stars entirely with the new demon classification. Auto levels would be 0 (obviusly), while Easy-Insane would be 1-5, and the demons would be 6-10 (easy-extreme demon)
@AG7-MTM I cannot stress how bad of an idea that is Why not just have it go up to easy demon as 10 stars, and then like medium is 15, hard is 20, insane is 25, and extreme demon is 30? List demons could even grant 50-100 stars if Rob really wanted to More realistically though, because of the years of 2.11, it would probably be insanely hard to program retroactive stars, just like when orbs were added in 2.1 you had to rebeat levels to get them
both of these ideas are not great. I like the idea of harder demons giving more stars so something like that would be nice, but nobody beats extremes for stars. Also people would be arguing if something is list worthy or not. "151 is harder then 150"
@@AG7-MTMNo way we'd get as many stars by clearing Change of scene and clearing Jumper, Deadlocked would have 9 more stars than basically any demon existing
@@nlzog speaking of triple spikes i would go up to insane with time machine ONLY because there's a STUPID MIND BOGGLING PART where the dev was like: HMMMM LET'S MAKE THIS SPECIFIC PART NOT READABLE AT ALL AND LET'S SPAM MIRROR PORTALS SO THE PLAYER CAN'T SEE A THING (not to mention that part also isn't the easiest gameplay and also its inverted gravity (i really hate inverted gravity) ) also if you are asking what i mean by player not being able to see a thing the worst part of mirror portals in my opinion is the transition from normal to mirror gameplay because when it happens u cannot see for a while.... the rest of time machine is fine ONLY THAT ONE DUMB PART.
Difficulty standards are pretty weird between official and custom levels but I think most of the current official level ratings make sense if you're a completely new player, but some levels like Can't Let Go should be upgraded obviously and X-Step should be downgraded.
ClG should literally be downgraded to normal. I have no freaking idea how everyone says its harder bc its free af. Literally ONLY the upside down cube at the end is even hard worthy so when 85% is normal well the level is normal.
@@monodoe761 Most of the cube jumps at the beginning are extremely tight, compared to the level before it which was Base After Base, the difficulty spike is unbalanced.
@@SonuSharma-xx1wn some ppl think the ship part is easy.... meanwhile me who usually takes like a second to readjust between inverted grav. ship and non-inverted grav ship....: ye you can imagine this part being LITTERALLY HELL for me (btw im talking about the cycles first ship idk if it has 2nd ship cuz i didn't go like rlly far into the level so if it only has one ship part don't be like: NOT FIRST BUT THE ONLY SHIP PART HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT!!!!)
Electroman adventures is still more difficult than modern harder difficulty levels. I think it’s fine where it is. The level having tricky portal transitions, and generally a lot of portals will get tiring.

To be honest, I think Electrodynamix is insane difficulty and should stay that way. Sure, it has some crazy chokepoints but there are also some far easier sections as well. And I can't really compare the hardest parts of Electrodynamix to the hardest parts of Clubstep, ToE 2 or Deadlocked. It feels like it's not on the same level of difficulty to them or many demons.
i agree, but literally almost every easy-hard demon has a easy part, Clubstep has a very easy part from ~10% to 25%, TOE2 has the beginning and also the cube part before the wave, and 70-80%, deadlocked has the predrop and the ending. Even in levels like Nine Circles, the beginning and end cubes are surprisingly easy and around insane difficulty. electrodynamix still insane tho
If all 5 Theory of Everything songs got an official level (yes, even the fan made T.O.E. 4), I think it would be an excellent place to introduce the demon scales (T.O.E. 1 would be easy demon, T.O.E. 5/Final Theory would be extreme demon)
Toe 1: Insane Toe 2: Easy Demon Toe 3: Medium Demon Toe 4: Medium Demon (Slightly harder than Toe 3) Toe 5: Hard Demon Extreme and Insane are too much for official levels
Here's my personal changes: Polargeist - Downgraded to easy Base After Base - Downgraded to normal Jumper - Downgraded to hard xStep - Downgraded to harder Geometrical Dominator - Upgraded to insane Fingerdash - Downgraded to harder Every other level stays as they are as of 2.1
I mostly agree, but I would honeslty bump Blast Processing down to hard. I feel that level is pretty easy for the most part, especially once you understand the wave.
I like how Geometrical dominator doesn't really have a memory part, I guess. If you're sightreading, you can see the sparkles that indicate platforms. Somehow, it still has a better indication than Nock Em first coin
@@madeline_from_celeste_real tbh i can understand dying there once or twice before pattern recognition kicks in and you're like "OH THAT'S what the sparkles mean"
my raitings: Stereo Madness:Easy(same reason you said) Back on Track:Easy(same reason you said) Polargeist:Easy(same reason you said) (and cuz the first tree levels already introduse everything u will se after them Stereo madness:Portal(s) Back on track:Pands Polargeist:Orbs(Rings) Dry out:Normal(imo its harder than Base after base cuz it took me way more attempts to beat and i beat Base after Base first) Base avter base:Normal(same reason you said) Cant let go:Harder(same reason you said) Jumper:Hard(same reason you said) Time machine:Harder(same reason you said) Cycles:Harder(same reason you said) Xstep:Harder or Insane(it took me a lot to jump from Cycles to Xstep and i mean A LOT like over 1000 attempts =,but maybe just a skill issue) Clutterfunk:Insane(same reason you said) Teory of everything:Harder(imo it is soooooo sooo much easier than any other insane level it took me 200 attempts after Electroman andventures no practice and over 100 were first 12%) Electroman andventures:Insane(imo it is way harder than Xstep and Teory of everything, also i it took me over 1000 attempts to beat after i beat Xstep soo yea Insane it is) Clubstep:Demon(same reason you said) Electrodynamix:Demon(same reason you said in the other video) Hexagon Force:Insane(same reason you said, but it took me a lot of attempts anyways so its not bearly Insane it is somewere little under middle in Insane Raitings) Blast processing:Harder(same reason you said, but also it has a case for hard cuz its soooo easy) Teory of everything 2::Demon(same reason you said) Geometrical dominator:Insane(its sooooo much harder than Teory of everything and Xstep and it took me exsactry 1000 attempts wich is 5 times more than Teory of everything) Deadlocked:Demon(same reason you said) Fingerdash:Insane(imo it is a solid Insane levels cuz it took me more attempts than Xstep,Teory of Everything and Electroman anventures) And thats all.
Stereo Madness: Easy Back on Track: Easy Polargeist: Normal Dry Out: Hard Base After Base: Hard Can't Let Go: Harder Jumper: Hard Time Machine: Harder Cycles: Harder xStep: Harder Clutterfunk: Insane Theory of Everything: Insane Electroman Adventures: Harder Clubstep: Easy Demon Electrodynamix: Easy Demon Hexagon Force: Insane Blast Processing: Harder Theory of Everything II: Easy Demon Geometrical Dominator: Insane Deadlocked: Medium Demon Fingerdash: Harder Dash: Insane
I think the reason why RobTop made the difficulties on the original 7 levels easy to insane, is because each level had a change of difficulty, so basically Stereo Madness was easy, Back On Track was normal, Poltergeist (I think), was hard, dry out was harder, base after base was harder, and Jumper was insane.
I mean, I personally don’t think jumper would be rated hard. I think it fits for harder since Jumper involves tighter manoeuvres and some triple spikes. And that’s not all that makes jumper harder, but the ending part can get a bit harder for younger players. At 50%, that part tricked me out A LOT, since you have to time those jumps. And then the last ship part was a little hard for me as well. This is why I think jumper shouldn’t be rated hard.
How I would do it: Stereo Madness: Easy Back On Track: Easy Polargeist: Easy Dry Out: Normal Base After Base: Hard Can’t Let Go: Harder Jumper: Harder Time Machine: Insane Cycles: Insane xStep: Harder Clutterfunk: Insane Theory Of Everything: Insane Electroman adventures: Harder Clubstep: Demon Electrodynamix: Insane Hexagon Force: Insane Blast Processing: Harder Theory Of Everything 2: Demon Geometrical Denominator: Harder Deadlocked: Demon Fingerdash: Harder Dash: Insane
NO deadlocked may be very hard as an easy demon but definitely not a medium it has only like wave gameplay & chokepoints that make it hard its definitely easy demon around decode difficulty
i literally struggled on polargeist for 1 FUCKING YEAR! my dumb ass thought it was a difficulty spike, but i didn't take clutterfuck and can't let go into consideration
My ratings (UPDATED): Stereo madness: Easy Back on track: Easy Polargeist: Easy Dry out: Normal Base after base: Normal Can’t let go: Hard Jumper: Hard Time Machine: Harder Cycles: Harder xStep: Harder Clutterfunk: Insane Toe: Insane Electroman adventures: Insane Clubstep: High easy demon Electrodynamix: Low easy demon Hexagon force: Low easy demon Blast processing: Harder Toe 2: High easy demon Geometrical dominator: Insane Deadlocked: Low medium demon Fingerdash: Insane Dash: Harder
I say, and stand by this, that the geometrical dominator dark part is NOT MEMORY, the obsticles are very obviously shown before hand and i got through that segment first try like, 6 times in a row even when I was really bad at the game.
My opinion : Stereo madness : easy Back on track : easy Polargeist : normal Dry out : normal Base after base : normal Can't let go : harder Jumper : hard Time machine : insane Cycles : insane Xstep : harder Clutterfunk : insane Theory of everything : harder Electroman adventures : harder Clubstep : demon Electrodynamix : insane Hexagon force : insane Blast processing : hard Theory of everything 2 : demon Geometrical dominator : harder Deadlocked : demon Fingerdash : harder
My order of each level's difficulty. Back on Track, Easy Stereo Madness, Easy Polargeist, Easy Dry out, Normal Base after Base, Normal Jumper, Hard Blast Processing, Hard Cant Let Go, Harder Time Machine, Harder Cycles, Harder Xstep, Harder Electroman Adventures, Harder Geometrical Denominator, Harder Fingerdash, Insane Dash, Insane Theory of Everything, Insane Clutterfunk, Insane Electrodynamix, Insane Hexagon Force, Insane Theory of Everything II, Easy Demon Deadlocked, Easy Demon Clubstep, Easy Demon
i think geometrical dominator should be an insane level becuz for beginners the memory part is a huge choke point, its hard to sight read and takes time to memorize there was a point of time for me where i had beaten deadlocked but still hadn't beaten geometrical dominator
Stereo Madness 2* Back on Track 2* Polargeist 2* Dry out 3* Base after Base 3* Can’t let go 6* Jumper 5* Time Machine 7* Cycles 6* Xstep 7* Clutterfunk 8* Theory of everything 7* Electroman adventures 7* Clubstep 10* Electrodynamix 9* Hexagon Force 9* Blast Processing 5* Theory of Everything 2 10* Geometrical Dominator 7* Deadlocked 10* Fingerdash 8* Dash 6*
My opinion: Stereo Madness - Easy Back On Track - Easy Polargeist - Easy Dry Out - Normal Base After Base - Normal Can’t Let Go - Hard Time Machine - Hard Cycles - Harder xStep - Harder Clutterfunk - Insane TOE - Insane Electroman Adventures - Harder Clubstep - Easy Demon Electrodynamix - Easy Demon Hexagon Force - Insane Blast Processing - Hard TOE 2 - Medium Demon Geometrical Dominator - Harder Deadlocked - Hard Demon Fingerdash - Harder Dash - Insane
My personal ratings: Stereo Madness 2 star Back Ontrack 2 Star Polargeist 2 Star (With third coin 3 star) Dry Out 2 Star (With ship coin 3 star) Base After Base 3 Star Cant Let Go 5 Star (Final Cube Section is a bit learny, but consitent) Jumper 4 Star (With first ship coin 6 star) (No coin path, 1 att every recompletion) Time Machine 7 Star Cycles 6 Star (Ball sections are a bit learny, but very consistent, the middle ship section is easier than it looks) Xstep 7 Star (With second and third Coin 9 star) Clutterfunk 9 Star Theory of Everything 8 Star (With ship Coin 9 star) Electroman Adventures 7 Star (1 Attempt with 3 coins every recompletion, not that hard) Clubstep 10 Star Easy Demon Electro Dynamix 10 Star Easy Demon (Speed Ship for me is roughly same difficulty as Clubstep ship sections) Hexagon Force 7 Star (Dual parts are a bit learny, but very consistent) Blast Processing 5 Star (Literally way easier than Time Machine, Cycles has a little harder timings, so roughly Cant Let Go difficulty for me) Theory of Everything 2 10 Star Easy Demon (Has more mechanics, but a lot more balanced then Clubstep and Electrodynamix ship sections, thats why same difficulty for me) Geometrical Dominator 7 Star (Dark part is very learny, but moderately consistent) Deadlocked 10 Star Medium Demon (Very consistent level, but a lot more skill required than Clubstep, ElectroDynamix, and TOE 2 Fingerdash 6 Star (Even Electroman Adventures is harder than Fingerdash) (Maybe 7 star with wave coin) Dash 8 Star (With swingcopter coin 9 star)
Geometrical dominator should be insane because it has a lot of tight jumps and moving objects I beat this level after Electrodynamix so it should at least not have the same star rating as Blast processing
I feel like there should be a new difficulty called “Extreme” that is in between Insane and Demon. Stereo Madness: Easy Back on Track: Easy Polargeist: Normal Dry Out: Normal Base After Base: Hard Can’t Let Go: Harder Jumper: Hard Time Machine: Harder Cycles: Harder xStep: Insane Clutterfunk: Extreme Theory of Everything: Harder Electroman Adventures: Harder Clubstep: Demon Electrodynamix: Extreme Hexagon Force: Extreme Blast Processing: Harder Theory of Everything 2: Demon Geometrical Dominator: Harder Deadlocked: Demon: Fingerdash: Insane The Challenge: Normal Dash (So Far): Extreme
here's how i would do it Stereo Madness - Easy Back on Track - Top 1 Extreme Demon Polargeist - Easy Dry Out - Normal Base After Base- Normal Can't Let Go - Harder Jumper - Hard Time Machine - Insane Cycles - Harder xStep - Harder Clutterfunk - Insane Theory of Everything - Harder Electroman Adventures - Harder Clubstep - Easy Demon Electrodynamix - Easy Demon Hexagon Force - Insane Blast Processing - Hard Theory of Everything 2 - Easy Demon Geometrical Dominator - Insane Deadlocked - Medium Demon Fingerdash - Harder
@@Nonamer69420imo harder, cuz the only real hard part is the ship, due to a kind of precise timing at the end, mostly for beginners. Everything else is not that hard.
here's what I think should be the actual rates Stereo Madness: Easy Back on Track: Easy Polergeist: Easy Dry Out: Normal Base After Base: Normal Cant Let Go: Hard Jumper: Hard Time Machine: Harder Cycles: Insane xStep: Harder Clutterfunk: Insane TOE: Insane Electroman Adventures: Harder Clubstep: Easy Demon Electrodynamix: Insane Hexagon Force: Harder Blast Processing: Hard TOE 2: Easy Demon Geometrical Dominator: Harder Deadlocked: Medium Demon Fingerdash: Harder you're opinions did make a lot of sense though and I do agree with most of them :)
HF is the hardest insane, way harder than the others. Electrodyanmix is REALLY easy and is closer to harder than demon. BP harder than Xstep. Fingerdash is insane.
Mine list- Stereo Madness- Easy Back on track- Easy Polargiest-Easy Dry out-Hard Base after base-Normal Cant let go-Harder Jumper-Harder Time machine- Harder Cycles- Insane XStep-Harder Clutterfunk-Insane Theory of everything-harder Electroman Adventures-Harder Clubstep-Easy Demon Electrodynamix-Insane Hexagon Force-Insane Blast processing-harder Theory of everything 2-Easy Demon Geoemetrical dominator-Insane Deadlocked-Middle Demon Finger Dash- Insane Dash-Harder The tower (All levels combined)- Harder Explorers-Easy demon This list is my opinion, tell me yours in the replies.
mmm time machine should be insane, cycles should be harder, TOE should be insane, Deadlocked should be Easy Demon, Fingerdash should be Harder, and Explorers should be medium or hard demon
Interestingly, the difficulty ratings for the main levels used to be different. The first 7 levels seem to increase the difficulty rating by one. As in, Stereo Madness starts on Easy, Back on Track on Normal, Polargeist on Hard, and so on.
The only problem with changing the difficulty of main levels are that they are literally the definition of that difficulty, this is the only thing people really don’t put to mind with these levels. The main levels are here to quite literally define what’s the difference between difficulty’s.
To me: Stereo Madness - Easy Back on Track - Easy Polargeist - Easy Dry Out - Normal Base After Base - Normal Can’t Let Go - Insane Jumper - Hard Time Machine - Insane Cycles - Insane XStep - Harder Clutterfunk - Easy Demon Theory of Everything - Insane Electroman Adventures - Harder Clubstep - Insane Electrodynamix - Insane Hexagon Force - Insane Blast Processing - Hard Theory Of Everything 2 - Hard Demon Geometrical Dominator - Harder Deadlocked - Medium Demon Fingerdash - Harder Dash - Medium Demon Explorers - Easy Demon The Challenge - Normal The Tower - Insane
I wanna give my opinions so Stereo Madness : Easy Back On Track : Normal Polargeist : Normal Dry Out : Normal Base After Base : Hard Cant Let Go : Harder Jumper : Hard Time Machine : Insane Cycles : Harder XSTEP : Harder Clutterfunk : Insane TOE 1 : Insane Eletroman Adventures : Insane ( I really hate this level ) Clubstep : Easy Demon Eletrodynamix : Easy Demon Hexagon Force : Harder Blast Processing : Harder TOE 2 : Medium Demon Geometrical Dominator : Harder Deadlocked : Easy Demon Fingedash : Harder
Stereo Madness: Normal Back on Track: Extreme Demon Polargeist: Normal Dry Out: Hard Base after Base: Normal Can’t Let Go: Harder Jumper: Hard Time Machine: Harder Cycles: Insane XStep: Hard Clutterfunk: Insane TOE: Hard Electroman adventures: Harder Clubstep: Easy demon Electrodynamix: Very hard insane Hexagon Force: Harder Blast Processing: Hard TOE 2: Medium Demon Geometrical Dominator: Harder Deadlocked: Medium Demon Fingerdash: Harder
There is no way you say CLG and Fingerdash is the same difficulty when CLG took me 100 attempts and FD took 1500. FD is def insane and CLG is normal. Another thing is HF is way harder than Electro
I don't agree that Dry Out should be Easy! Because it's not (for new players). As a kid when I was still a noob at the game, I could easily tell that Dry Out is significantly harder than Stereo Madness. Simply because of the upside-down section alone. Just because custom levels have upside-down sections are rated easy doesn't mean they should be rated easy. In fact, I do agree bumping Base After Base to normal, because I find Dry Out and Base After Base to be equal difficulty. In fact, as a kid I thought Base After Base was easier than Dry Out.
My changes from the original would be Polargeist: Easy, It feels like a counterpart to back on track but with the orb mechanic so yeah Base after base: Normal It's literally easier than dry out lmao Can't let go: Harder Consistently hard difficulty, use of fake orbs and a hard upside down part, would be a great first harder level Jumper: Hard Yeah.... This is easier than can't let go, The entire level kind of plays like an upgraded dry out for the most part Xstep: Harder Difficulty relative to time machine and cycles, debatably easier Electroman adventures: Harder It's a fun level but certainly not insane worthy, It just feels easy with no part that's actually that hard Blast processing: Hard Introduces wave, if you get used to it this level's painfully easy Geometrical dominator: Insane This level might have some easy parts but honestly it deserves insane, memory part alone makes that deserving of the promotion. Fingerdash, dash: Harder These levels are only somewhat confusing due to the amounts of mechanics they introduce, Just really easy if you get used to the mechanics Considered but not moved: TOE: Harder It's still quite deserving of insane due to the last ufo part, consistent difficulty overall, some could argue that this is easier than eman adventures but I don't think so Edynamix: Demon x3 ship part. Not moved due to first cube, second cube being really easy
Ok how the hell is CLG harder but Dry Out easy? Dry Out and CLG are like the exact same difficulty (high normal). Also electrodynamix is 100% insane and not demon, Hexagon is harder than electro. Do not even pretend Fingerdash and CLG are the same difficulty as that is total bs.
