@@ShaneWelcher oki doki. I am investigating about this with a Panel View 800. It appears that if you are communicating an 800 with a compact 5370 you loose the Email function at the Panel View. Pretty strange.

You would need to manually set up the IP address no matter what. Then if the checkbox for automatic download is check in the version of controllogix then it should prompt the user the allow the download. Hopefully that helps

Can you share what the IE_VER is for earlier versions like V24? The knowledgebase QA1568 - RSLogix 5000: Converting a Project to a Previous Version doesn't seem to exist
It's basically the same thing I show here, L5K then edit the version to what version you want. If it fails then it will tell you what IE version needs to be used so edit the L5K again and finish the conversion. I believe I have another video on my RU-vid channel that shows earlier versions
Hello, when updating the firmware from V31 to V32 when restoring the L5k project, it restores the program but it does not load the configuration of the input and output cards, cognex cards, how can I export the complete Proyect.
To upgrade the program from V31 to V32 there is no need for an L5k. Just right-click the processor and change versions, make a copy of the program first as a backup.
Look at the error then open it in notepad ++ to get the line number to edit. This will give you an idea of what needs to be changed or corrected. Hope that helps

Yes, however it converts the file to version 32. There is a process to convert it back to version 31 using an L5K technique . It's easy to move forward, not so much trying to move backward

@@muufcem8962 you need version 31, open Studio 5000 then open your version 31 file then in the processor setting change the version then allow it to convert it. Either way, you need version 31 if your files are version 31
thanks , I have studio 5000 on my laptop but I dont know what the version of studio 5000 it is , its not letting me connect with my controllers which all have 30.01 or 30.02 , how do I tell what studio 5000 version I have ?
@@rshfn44 open Studio 5000 then go the the help tab then about...that will tell you the version you have. Or you can look at add/remove programs in the Windows install to find if you have multiple versions
@@ShaneWelcher Sorry, maybe if i rephrase. When version 31 came out the UI changed from the old RSLogix 5000 layout to the new studio 5000 look . Is it possible to have a program on version 31,32, or 33 but use the old UI?
