Sometimes the EGR valve isn't defective. But the errorcodes are still referring to an EGR related problem. That was the case with my C6, so now I've spotted the trouble and that's the throttle unit. Let's replace it!
this is same throtle body on misubishi outlander, citroen c crosser and peugeot 4007 2.2 hdi, my throtle body started making a horrible ratling noise then went silent, engin management light came on and went to limp home mode,,,,your video is the only one i could find that shows how to change it i could find so many thanks as i was a bit worried about doing it myself but turned out quite easy....many thanks again
Yes i was there, it was nice to stand beside the "Michelin monstre" and look closer to all that interesting machinery, two V8 engines in the back, what a thing to construct... 😳👌 Avenue Foch was beautiful 🥰
Wonderful video, thank you. I need to replace the glow plugs on my C6 2.2. I have followed the instructions but still do not see how to coax the inlet manifold off when all the fastenings are removed. Have you done this job and can help?
@@citromec Yes, and there is some help there but its taking me a long time to get to the glow plugs. I think I need to discover a couple of more bolts to release. When the glow plugs no longer work the EGR does not work and I and this produces a warning of blocking the particulate filter. Every time I start the warning comes up with the "squeak". Your nice C6 is like mine, same colour only mine is RHD, one of only two in New Zealand. Ian
@@ianbywater7788 that's interesting, my glowplugs hasn't been working for more than 150000 kilometers, but there's no warning concerning aircleaning systems. My car is approaching 300000 kilometers. Will need to do the glowplugs eventually, but I've been lazy cause the car sits inside wintertime so there's rarely any issues starting it.
