Hey I hope you can respond! My friend took some engagement pictures from a dslr camera. Once we put the file into the computer, the file info says the DPI is 72. I then transferred the pic to procreate and increased the DPI to 300 as per your video. My question is, if I were to print this picture into a big poster with the new 300 DPI, will the print come out as good quality? Or willl it be pixelated since the original pic is 72 DPI Appreciate a quick response!
DPI is determined by the camera, not the PC. try creating a project with 300 DPI and import the photo in that way. Also, look up the DPI settings for the camera to determine how to change it there.
Thanks for that mention! I found that out as well, and mentioned it in a later video. I sometimes find that doing it this way loses less definition than changing in the same canvas.
I've been trying to figure out exactly what is happening, but it seems I don't have enough information. Please join my FB group and ask your question there. facebook.com/groups/procreatebasics
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong! My design still is saved and uploaded on the t shirt print company I’m using and still shows 150 dpi 😢 even after trying this tutorial!
