G'day Folks. This week I'm out prospecting in a very trashy area with the Minelab Manticore and the M8 (mate) coil, trying out a few different settings. Who knows what we'll find. Gold, pre decimals, relics or trash?
#thecoffeebushkid
Thanks for hunting out my RU-vid channel.
My name is Andrew, so why do they call me The Coffee Bush Kid? I may have found the odd gold coin or two in the middle of the coffee bush where others fear to tread.

Thanks so much for sharing @The Coffee Bush Kid I absolutely loved watching mate. Those old 1950s-60s dumping sites can be so much fun to hunt around and you just never know what you will find👌...Especially when chasing the gold. Great video once again Andrew & Viv. If you know you know🫣🤝👍⛏️

Gday Luke. Glad you came along for the ride. Do love a 1950s/60s dump site. Never know what they accidentally through away by mistake. In these areas gold is always a chance. No one would chase it in a place like that with a gold machine. All ours. Hope everyone is well. Take care mate 😁👍

I love this video. I love the mooch through the steel. I love the advice about the settings. That’s exactly the site I love and the way I like to detect. Harder settings first while your concentration is good at the beginning of a hunt and playing with them as the hunt progresses. Cheers for sharing Andrew 😊❤

Yeah I’ve found a few bottoms of those torpedo bottles, never a full one though 😢😂. Cannot wait to get my hands on the manticore though, the bleeding of money stops next week 😂. finally the wedding takes place on Sunday next week, happy times but it’s taken up most of our free time for almost a year now, that’s what happens when we plan a wedding with all the traditional trimmings 😂😂.

Good day out. The Colgate tube reminds me of my early days trout fishing . I would cut them into thin strips to wrap on the line instead of a costly split shot. Good times those. Also that was a nice Schrader valve cover. Over here in the US that means a model T Ford, I'm not familiar with Australian automotive history. Take care!

Gday Greg. Good use for the Colgate tube. Hope you caught heaps. We had heaps of model Ts down here too. I thought it was a good example. Thanks for confirming the link. Glad you enjoyed coming out to play. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

Well Howdy Tex! A very US loaded hunt, A gun, a Buckle, A Schrader valve, And a gem of a safety razor! The nice looking button, of unknown origin, But what brought me back safely to Australian shore's, and its gold fields, Was the 1941 ANZAC Badge, and of the time and period of the war. I've never seen one. I think I can safely say, that it was the find of the day. But there is a certain element to the day that I cant recall, Hmm! Well! Ill put the kettle on and have a think about it, but I reckon I'll have a Hecla of a time thinking about it. I do remember the yellow pottery jugs though, with the flip up lid, was it bakalite? I know that many a pot of tea was produced by it. Set in the middle of the table, and kept warm in its cosy. One for each person and one for the pot! Hoping all is well with you both, Take care, and Hooroo!
@TheCoffeeBushKid
@TheCoffeeBushKid 3 месяца назад
Gday Wayne. It was very US oriented. Yes the Anzac badge was a ripper of a find. Very happy with that. Pondering the elements. Glad it brought back memories. And your amounts are correct. Always one for the pot. Just like one for Ron. We are getting over the virus. Almost shaken it off. Hope you are well. Take care mate 😁👍

Howdy Andrew, That was some good advice on the settings. You need a lot of patience to hunt through a trashy area like that. There has got to be a big gold nugget in one of those maliky heaps that the old timers overlooked. I liked that button and the steel star buckle. I would love to see Viv's set up for taking the close up shots used in the roundup. I'm getting into my late 60's and my hands tremble a little so it's hard to take in focus close ups. I need something to hold my phone still. I found a Nazi coin this past week. On one side it says Deuctches Reich 1940 and has a picture of an eagle standing on a swastika. On the other side it says Reichs Phennig with a 10 in the middle. I never expected to find one of those here. Hope you and Viv are doing well. Jan and I are. Your buddy, Roelf
@TheCoffeeBushKid
@TheCoffeeBushKid 4 месяца назад
Gday Roelf. If you don’t have some sort of out, a dump will do your head in. I too hope there is a big nugget under the rubbish there somewhere. I am the one who took the photos. Just using the phone but I do put a finger out onto something solid so I don’t shake too much. Congrats on the coin. Wouldn’t expect to find one in your neck of the woods. Maybe brought back as a souvenir or someone brought it over when they migrated. Interesting find. Glad you are both well. Viv and I are on the tail end of COVID. First time. Pretty much over it now. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
