G'day folks. While we were down at the beach, I brought along a couple of Minelab Gold Detectors to try out. The GPX600 and the SDC 2300. I took them through their paces to see how they performed on a beach.

Hi mate, I literally felt like I was watching an episode of Ozzie Gold Hunters there. Your tutorial videos are always really well made. Oh to be metal detecting on an empty beach in the warm sunshine. Those gold hunting metal detectors would drive me crazy with those signals / tones 😂 Keep up the really good work

Gday Gareth. Thanks for the compliment. We get asked a lot in the shop if you can use them on the beach. Lots of theories so we thought we would give it a try. Shalom Elecheim dear Coffee. bush Kid. Great Video. We used our 5000 on thr beach in Qld Used a 15 inch minelab mono coil . Diwn about 2 feet in the sand. This spot is used regularoly by the Local Swingers Club. Went over their places, and Bizingo. It went off. Yerhaaw 20 mins found a $1,250 dollar Ring..5 Diamonds x 9 crt ring Firmly attached to my datling Wifes Finger. Kerp up the Fantastic Work in Prospecting around AUSTRALIA 🌏🦘

Nice work Andrew, I used my 4500 on a beach once, dug up a target about 3 feet down, it went crazy deep and I found a few bucks too, so all good. Cheers mate

Ok! So if next time your in a wetsuit, several miles off the coast diving on an ancient shipwreck, Do not! And I repeat, Do not! Try to sniff the silver. Nor pet, or feed the sharks for that matter! I could never go deep sea diving, I'd get to dizzy turning around to see what might be coming up behind me, I used to go out on a surf ski, a paddle board for riding waves, When the winds were right and making some nice wave action, I'd go out and play for hours, if there was no wind, I'd paddle out next to the drop off, straight out from Tootgarook turn left and paddle to Rye pier, turn around then paddle to Rosebud pier then back to the middle at Tootgarook, I did that for quiet a while, until one day whilst rolling along, the dark drop off on my left and the sunlit sand to my right, When part of the dark shadow of the drop off passed directly underneath me heading into shallower waters, After picking my heart back up off of the surf ski, I turned hard right and went back to shallower water. Fortunately it was a very large ray that had no interest in eating me. And as I never wanted to repeat that experience, especially if a shark was passing by, I never pushed my luck again. Um! Sorry Andrew, As I have neither of those detectors at the moment, I had to find something else to annoy you with. Oh! After that I paddled just deep enough so I didn't run over any kiddys and get chased by irate mum's. Arrr! I miss the open sea, I try to miss it from a good distance! Heave ho! Me hearty's, May the winds be fair behind you! Cheers!

Gday Wayne. Viv got a wine and a bowl of chips when I said I was going to read your comment. Think she was snuggling in contentedly to hear what you had to say. Her uncle used to fish off Toot. Yes not a fan of dark shapes going under what I am floating in. I have the ability to do the human squid impersonation whether on land or in water. Sharks can’t see through it and snakes can’t get a grip over it. This video was just to answer a few questions we get asked as to whether you can use a gold machine on the beach. Take care mate 😁👍

@@TheCoffeeBushKid Good morning Andrew, Viv! 🤣🤣 I shouldn't laugh, but I did! I hope I didn't spoil Viv's relaxation, nor make her choke on her chips, I used to love it down on the peninsula, except at Xmas time or public holidays, It got way to busy for my liking, to many cars and to many people, I couldn't live back down there now, it's like that all the time, it was a great place to live in my younger days. I was a regular fisherboy then, sitting on the end of Rye pier, fishing line in the water, rain or shine, Mum made a raincoat for me out of a hessian potato sack, holes for my arms and head, I bet I was the envy of all the others on the pier, although I was usually the only one there in the rain, I might have even waved at Viv's uncle, I spent a lot of hours down near the water. It would be a waste of the setting as the 800 is a coin and relics machine and that is what it is bred to do. Give it a go next time you are down on a beach and see. Good luck 😁👍

Pulse induction on the beach will wear you out! I brake out the old Garrett infinitum when I know I am looking for a gold or platinum earring or bracelet. Otherwise you will be able to open a tackle shop will all the hooks you find and a nice tent peg exchange store on the side internet. Pulse will find the goods on the beach and make you stronger for sure. 🧲(((⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️🥫🥫🥫🏖️

This really wasn’t a video of “ These are the best machines for the beach”. It was just can you use them and what combination is best if these are the only machines you have. I would use the manticore if I knew I was beach detecting. Thanks for watching 😁👍
