Marina you look the same as pretty as in 2014 and now ❤. Definitely,You had a big improvement in your accent. It's amazing to see such a successful person at 33 . You are doing wonders .
This is exactly how i practiced my English and other languages! I read aloud for 10 min and recorded myself speaking English. Definitely helped with my accent! Thanks for sharing Marina.
Marina you had a beautiful british accent, that is what I want to achieve , I studied english since I was a child however my speaking skills needed to be improved , I have been practicing with many native people around the world ... I used to be afraid of speaking and I can say sharing with people has helped to develop that area and feel more comfortable , and is so lovely to communicate with someone who lives very far from me and learn new cultures ... I really appreciate this channel because you always encourage to improve and give us a huge support , I highly recommend your channel 🍀
Thanks so much Marina. I started to follow you about one year. Definitely you are someone to look up to; I spend so much time here in your RU-vid channel because you always give me ideas and support about my process in English. Thank you ever so much!!!
I started my youtube channel 10 months ago and it’s really amazing to have an opportunity to compare yourself with yourself(if this makes sense). Thanks to my old videos I can see my slow progress and in your case the progres is 🚀 Thank you for showing the path ❤
Yes Marina, I want to watch more English videos of you about how you made progress in learning different English accents. You are my best teacher Marina. I want to learn English from you
I truly admire everything you have done and what you continue to do. I am a doctor in science and today I live in "a world of languages" I am improving my level of English and teaching in different languages (as a teacher and as a volunteer), I travel a lot to learn more about languages and the best of all is I am learning my fourth language (French)... my dream is exactly what you are doing but I will use my scientific methods and I am happy because on October 13, 2023 I will give my first conference about my teachings with the Spanish and English languages. It has been many hours of practice and acquiring knowledge with my native teachers but I am happy to make every investment, I know that I will achieve it... I am looking up to you 🤭 by Dr. Fernando (Mexican man)...
I'm brazilian, and I guess English Language a little confuse in certain way. But, if you to start learn Portuguese Language, it'll drive you crazy 😂😂😂😂😂😂 lots of grammar and spelling rules. Each period of time, these same rules change, and even Brazilians get a little confused. That's why, when I decide to learn a language, I start with everyday conversation, slang, expressions, and then delve deeper into the rules. And I think your job outstanding! You gained one more fan!
I can see a huge difference between your accent and your confident Marina,You’re such a great example to people who thinks their English is bad . definitely progress needs time and I adore your way of teaching mostly , you’re motivating us to become a better version of ourselves . Can’t thank you enough Marina !!! ❤
British vs. American accent is instantly noticable, the same is true for speaking with confidence, which it didn't sound like you were doing in that clip from back then. With experience comes confidence. The most interesting part of American accents for me was the difference between pronouncing Rs and not pronouncing Rs at the end of a word. So I made it a point to practice pronouncing it. Nowadays it's completely normal for me either way and I don't pay attention to it anymore, but I used to pay a lot of attention to it to understand it and which regions of NA pronounce Rs and which don't. What I did a lot to get more American English into me is watching lots and lots of US TV shows in original language. You pick up so much vocabulary, phrases, expressions, etc., it's super helpful. When YT became a thing I mostly watch English channels. I also play some games on US servers and made friends there that I can talk to for practice. I eventually held both my bachelor and master thesis presentations in English and I felt very comfortable doing it because I knew I had the experience. Nonetheless, without a deep analysis and training of my accent it probably will always be recognizable a little bit that I am not a native as I don't live there either.
You are a charming girl. I am grateful for your assistance with my English, which has increased my confidence. Your support has been invaluable to me, and I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. You have certainly made a positive impact on my life. Thank you once again!
Thank you so much for the important tips you shared in this video. Actually I am neither soroounded by native speakers nor English speakers But from today I will try to apply some of your tips like talking to myself while adopting different dialogues and characters, recording my voice and reading out loud.
@@linguamarina Marina, good afternoon! We ask you a huge request, make professional subtitles in English. I'm shocked that you don't have any!!!!!! Many bloggers with a large audience have subtitles with the correct spelling of words, with punctuation marks (which is very important for those who are not native speakers of this language!). And you just have some kind of stream of words in the subtitles. Where the sentence begins and where it ends is not clear. If RU-vid has been allowing this problem to be solved for a long time, and the owner of the channel ignores it, it seems that he does not respect his audience
You're getting even more and more beautiful ✨ ❤ It's a fun watching your videos Marina. Lots of emotions, feels, laughing, experiences and many more. ..Just wanna say a big thank you for your EXISTENCE.... LOVE YA❤
I've stopped learning english for a while, which probably the worst decision I made in the year 2023. Happily, I am back listening to Marina once again and I feel like I'm back on track. How cool is that? (Gonna binge watch all of your vids 'coz why not? I mean, you hit different. Among all videos teaching english, yours hit different. It's calming and it felt different, like good different. Y'know what I mean? Anyways, thank you for that!)
You mentioned very helpful exercise talking to yourself. That is what I was doing when I lived in Russia and studied English. I used to do that in subway when nobody could hear me. I guess I was looking like a weird guy but I didn’t care.
Maryna, thanks a lot for your encouraging us to study, to make our best to grow up. Great things happen to people who are so easy and quick to share great thing with others. Thats about you! God blessings!!!❤❤❤
She's making the English learning tough actually , it's about learning correct grammar and bit of a practice and that's freakin enough👍👍👍, it's that easy guys don't fool by her...
I want to be able to speak English like Marina in 2014. You are a beautiful, unique woman, a beautiful Slavic girl, from an amazing country, with an amazing history. You can have a unique accent. I thank your ancestors for helping my ancestors, my homeland, many times in history. I would like to be able to speak Russian, but I'm too lazy to learn at least the Cyrilic. (I am writing this comment using a translator.) Greetings from Slovakia.
I learned most of my English by watching movies and turning on CC (captions, text) That way I was hearing and seeing how you pronounce certain words and at the same time I saw them on screen spelled correct. That's my tip guys!
You were a kiddo. Definitely you were a different person. Now you're more mature more experienced more beautiful and moreover....you are mum. We are all proud of you Marina. ❤
Ms Marina that was really amazing to hear your accent in 2014, completely different person's pronunciation, woooow that's incredible how it actually works, now you sound more like American. Speaking about your appearance, definitely, you look more stylish, and beautiful, btw love your outfit, accessories in this video❤❤❤

Great work! You really changed a lot. Though I think your accent 10 years ago is still great, I like your American accent. I’m trying to be excelled in American English as well. ❤
I definitely agree with you I’m from Hongkong and since I lived abroad and dip myself into western culture with western people I changed my accents confidence and even the shape of my lips. 😂 When I was living in Australia my accent was different when I was in England I’m my accent became so British when I’m back to hk my accent is changed again, you gotta get yourself surrounded by bunch of locals to improve your accents
I really appreciate you.I am thankful to you for this outstanding video. That's so Kind of you.The fact is that,I have neither English surrounding nor English practice. But, After watching your video,I will try my level best to improve my English following your tips.Such as Self talking while adopting different dialogues, situations and characters, recording my video and reading aloud.
I started watching Marina's videos about 6 years ago. Several years went by, and I have witnessed that Marina has made huge progress and changed a lot while my English level keeps the same way.😏
You know what, your sounded great in 2014. You still have accent as we all do but your English in 2014 was very understandable and sounded very natural.
Isn't that pronounced "twenty fourteen" and not "two thousand fourteen"? Would a native speaker say "two thousand fourteen"? Is this correct spoken English? Wow. That's an accent change. Thank you for your honesty. You sound great speaking with an English accent, up to the point where you said "whatsoever". An English person with this accent would not say "whatsoever". Now your accent sounds American, but it's clear - to me, at least, that you are a foreigner speaking in an American accent. This is great. You show what's possible if you really practice, practice and keep practicing. Your pronunciation, stress and rhythm are really what make the difference. These 3 things are the real key to sounding more like a native speaker, if that's what you want. Many people are happy just to be able to communicate and be understood, which should always be the first goal of learning a language.
Марина, у тебя на самом деле актерский талант, так что стоит попробовать показаться на пробы;) Ну и разговоры с собой принесли свои плоды - это один из самых интересных приемов в твоих видео:)
Thanks for your interesting video Marina. The tips you just listed are some sort of motivational things and guides that completely stuck with me you know and I do too. I read aloud whatever things, I listen the podcasts and I practice my speaking on this platform called Italki where I can meet native speakers and tutors around the world. Everyone can improve and speak English. Doesn't matter where are you from. I'm 18 now and I started learning English in November 2022 and I can say that I noticed the improvements. I'd need to focus especially on the listening and the several kinds of accents.
I was just thinking that you could be an actress and tought how your face so expressional and beautiful, then you said that there's part of you wanted to be an actress! I screamed internally YES! ❤
To nail the American accent, come to america or look at the specific details while listening to American english conversation. also make sure to listen to the same person or only people from one state or region. and an important thing is to know which american accent to learn. suprisingly, there are hundreds of accents in america. it’s a big country! people in new york pronounce their O as a oah, in south florida, we pronounce our S more than most other americans, and in california they usually elongate their vowels with short consonants. america is very diverse.
hi from madagascar, yeah, you look like a different person, before you had a British accent, but now you sound more like an American person, I can really hear the difference...thanks for your tips to improve our accent...bye bye
Hello Marina Thank you so much My English teacher sayid me "First you learning English your voice was so ugly but Befor wath Marrini and now your vice so beautiful and American voice" Thank you Marina ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
