Changing Your Husband | Holly Furtick 

My situation is not going to determine my mood. This message is good and I have a lot to work on. My heart wants to be reconciled with my husband of 20 years. Please pray my husband’s heart would change from seeing me as all bad to someone who is worth trying again with. I did all of these things, fluctuating moods, negative, even somewhat of a nag,etc.. living separately from him and my teens I’m a changed woman. I know how to surrender to Christ. He doesn’t want to do marriage counseling. Please pray I would keep changing and God would soften his heart to seeing value in me and our marriage. His heart needs softened too. We need a God sized miracle for both our teen son and my husband to want me and our marriage. I’m trusting God for the miracle of restoration.

Such a good teaching! "You can nag God." Even though I'm single, this is very helpful for when I'll meet my future godly husband 😊.

My husband has been out of the house for 2 months because he relapsed I have been praying to God every day all day he wakes up and gets help and comes home. He sees me as the enemy and it really hurt by things I’ve said in the past I’m reeling for the loss of my family. I am so depressed and constantly reaching out to him and am bombarding him with messages I am so scared to lose him forever. I want to save my marriage. I want to save my husband.

You don't know it but God has been working through your ministry as we have been facing the most difficult season of our life for the past 3 years. One of the greatest attributes of good pastoring is the ability to be transparent. You create a place of vulnerability and it allows us to be open as well! The ground is soft and God is able to work. This teaching hit home especially because I have been seriously seeking God about my marriage and my family. God heard, and He led me straight to this upload at just the right time. I needed this! Single guy here, listening. Hearing the Importance of decisions as a Christian guy, and things to know before getting married. Jeez. A godly WISE wife is crucial for success. However, it's the implementing of these things that makes the difference and the attitude that it's done with.

I totally agree with holding yourself to the same standard you’d hold him to. Women are every bit as capable and should set the example as fellow leaders with their husbands. And rather than nagging him about something that needs doing, maybe take the initiative and start doing it.

How do I not pick at my husband, and not let it effect me when he cannot control his alcohol consumption? Sometimes he has had way too much to drink before he comes home after work. It has to be him to realize it, but he doesn't think he has a problem. I'm not so sure he's hard on himself in his mind because he'd realize it. It's something I pray his eyes will be opened.
